Tsun Yin Wong opened to 100,000 and Gursimran Brar called in the next seat. Alexis Lim three-bet to 380,000 and Wong folded while Brar came along to the Q77 flop and check his option. Lim announced a bet of 575,000 with few chips behind and Brar pushed all-in, Lim called.

Qi Xia was watching from up close as he was sitting on just two big blinds with the big blind looming.

On the 6 river, Nam checked again and Brar bet 500,000. With a lot of consideration, Nam called and then stormed away from the table when Brar showed his 107 for a straight.

Level 35 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Ronn Mesina raised to 100,000 and Seung Hyun Han called in the next seat. Qi Xia then pushed all-in for 665,000 and Mesina folded. Han was visibly frustrated and already glanced at his cards rather high to expose a pocket pair on his side of the felt. He then counted his stack and ultimately called all-in for 555,000.

Seung Hyun Han: 99 All in
Qi Xia: AQ

The AK9810 board gave Han a set for more than the double.

Brar and Nam Trade Blows

Level 34 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Gursimran Brar increased his stack when he fired two barrels on the button against Hyunsik Nam in the big blind when the latter check-folded the AK82 turn to a bet of 180,000.

Brar then opened to 80,000 in the cutoff and Nam three-bet to 240,000 in the small blind. The call of Brar led to the A42 flop on which Nam continued for 350,000 to force a fold of the grinning Brar.

"Will I hit my set on the river?" he said and added that it was his favourite hand, indicating that was pocket nines.

Another player demanded "show the bluff" but Brar was certain Nam had it, the South Korean rolled over the AK indeed.

Han's Frustration Grows Further

Level 34 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Seung Hyun Han opened to 80,000 and Tsun Yin Wong called from the big blind. On the AJ3 flop, Wong check-called for 75,000 and they checked the 4 on the turn. Wong led the A river for only 60,000 and Han visibly sighed.

After shaking his had for a few seconds, Han called and then mucked when he was shown AQ for trips aces by Wong. The start-of-the-day chip leader has played very few hands thus far but made them count to retain his top spot.

Brar Wins Big Pot Off Clarke

Level 34 : Blinds 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante
Gursimran Brar
Gursimran Brar

The action started with a raise to 80,000 on the button by Patrick Clarke and Gursimran Brar in the big blind three-bet to 240,000. After using a time bank, Clarke then four-bet to 525,000 and Brar called after brief consideration.

They both checked the 1084 flop and 8 turn to see the 9 follow on the river.

Brar prepared a large bet for three quarters of his stack before then grabbing three time banks and tossing them towards the dealer. He cut back some chips and ultimately bet 545,000.

Clarke was sent into the tank and mentioned "you could have jacks" before ultimately making the call. Brar flipped over the 1010 for tens full of eights to win the healthy pot and take over the lead.
