Jeff answers them all, as well as a look into some new things, such as a new merch store, the WSOP Countdown Show, and members of the WSOP family.

Jeff also talks about being on a team drafting for the $25K Fantasy, which took place later that evening. Chad headed over to speak with Daniel Negreanu and David "ODB" Baker while offering a look at the draft itself.

The crew then remembers online poker legislative champion, Congressman Barney Frank, who recently passed away, and then offers you a chance to win a seat to this weekend's 100th Charity Series of Poker (CSOP) event!

Heads-Up Deal Secures Nicholas Major Wynn Summer Classic Win

Congratulations to Nicholas Major who took down the latest Wynn Summer Classic $600 yesterday.

He defeated David Vu heads-up, taking home $102,603 after a heads-up deal between the pair. The result almost doubles his career live earnings, surpassing his previous highest score from final-tabling the 2024 $600 Orleans Summer Poker Open Main Event.

Gutierrez Leads $1,100 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better Day 2

A field of 86 players generated a prize pool of $82,990 in the $1,100 Omaha Hi-Lo 8 or Better. Just 19 players remain with Jose Gutierrez leading the way.

Gutierrez is Bolivia's all-time money leader, and he is only slightly ahead of Jay Kerbel and Kevin Lutz.

Industry Insiders: Andrew Ormsby Becomes New Director of Poker Operations at Wynn Las Vegas

When it comes to poker rooms in Las Vegas, poker players are quick to give high marks to the Wynn Poker Room. From the in-house room to outside series like the WPT World Championship, the Wynn has established itself as a premier poker destination. That’s due in no small part to the men and women working behind the scenes to operate the 28-table room.

For years, the Director of Poker Operations was Ryan Beauregard (pictured above left), a titan in the poker industry. But now, much like Nicholas Cage in the 1995 film, Beauregard is leaving Las Vegas.

Beauregard’s departure meant there was an opening for a new Director of Poker, and to fill the role, the Wynn wisely looked in-house to Andrew Ormsby (pictured above right), who has served as Operations Manager for the past eight years. Anyone who has either regularly played or worked at the Wynn in recent years knows Ormsby and just how instrumental he is to the room’s success.

PokerNews recently spoke to Ormsby about stepping up as the Wynn’s new Director of Poker Operations.

Yurii Zabrodotskyi Leads Massive $600 500K GTD Day 2 in Las Vegas

Day 2 of the $600 No-Limit Hold’em $500K GTD at the Wynn Summer Classic is set for Sunday in Las Vegas, with 164 players returning from a 1,334-entry field as the event moves into its deeper stages.

Sitting in the best possible position is Yurii Zabrodotskyi, who bagged 1,215,000 to take the overnight chip lead. He is closely followed by Cory Waaland (1,079,000) and Ignacio Sole Aparicio (975,000), all three well clear of the chasing pack.

Also returning with healthy stacks are Luis Althoff, Inigo Naveiro Martin, and Karo Nuri, all inside the top five as play resumes.

The top of the counts is rounded out by David Vu, Cyril Williams, Ryan LaPlante, and Javier Fernandez Colomar.

The average stack sits around 320k, meaning the chip leader returns with more than three times the average as players head into what should be a long and pivotal Day 2.

Late registration remains open until the restart at 1:00 p.m. local time, so both the field and prize pool are still subject to change before cards go back in the air.

Miner Finds Gold in the $600 2-7 Mixed Limits

WSOP bracelet winners doing well at the Wynn was a theme on Saturday, after Ben Miner took down the $600 2-7 Mixed Limits event at the Wynn Summer Classic in Las Vegas, topping a 44-entry field to earn $10,500 and secure the title after a six-handed final table.

Miner defeated Steve Hyung heads-up, who banked $6,750, while Daniel Sprung finished in third place for $4,800.

Elsewhere at the final table, there was a great performance from PokerNews royalty in the form of Brett Slezak, who will be swapping the Wynn for the Horseshoe & Paris next week, bringing his expert brand of reporting to another WSOP summer.

WSOP-bracelet winner Maxx Coleman won the $1,100 Mixed Triple Draw at the Wynn Summer Classic in Las Vegas for $21,110 after topping a 70-entry field.

The tournament generated a $67,550 prize pool, comfortably surpassing the $50,000 guarantee, a theme of the series so far this summer.

A final tablist at the WPT World Championship in December 2025, Coleman defeated Patrick Quealy heads-up, while Timothy Wong finished in third place.

Another packed day is ahead at the Wynn Summer Classic in Las Vegas, with Sunday’s schedule bringing a mix of major-field No-Limit Hold’em action and one of the series’ mixed-game tournaments.

The headline event of the day is the opening flight of the $1,100 No-Limit Hold’em, which comes with a hefty $1,000,000 guarantee. Day 1A kicks off at noon, with a turbo Day 1B flight following later in the evening at 6 p.m. as players begin their chase for a huge guarantee on the Wynn summer calendar.

Mixed-game players also have plenty to look forward to with the start of the two-day $1,100 Limit Omaha 8, featuring a $50,000 guarantee and expected to attract another strong specialist field.

Meanwhile, Day 2 of the ongoing $600 No-Limit Hold’em event resumes at 1 p.m., with the surviving field returning to continue their run toward the title and the lion’s share of the prize pool.

Two Wynn Summer Classic events are down to the final two tables, with big stacks assembling ahead of what should be a busy Saturday in Las Vegas.

The $1,100 Mixed Triple Draw event has played down to its final eight players from a 77-entry field, with Timothy Wong leading the way on 555,000 chips heading into the final day. Wong sits narrowly ahead of Byung Shin (462,000) and mixed game specialist Maxx Coleman (456,000), while the returning lineup also includes Patrick Quealy and Schuyler Thornton.

The tournament generated a $67,550 prize pool, comfortably surpassing its $50,000 guarantee, with the final eight returning at noon local time to play down to a winner.

A 77-entry field turned out for the $1,100 TORSE $50K GTD at the Wynn Summer Classic, with Brian Breck coming out on top to capture the title and $22,835 first-place prize.

The mixed game event comfortably cleared its $50,000 guarantee, building a final prize pool of $74,305.

Breck defeated Michael Lang heads-up after a final table that also featured well-known mixed game regular and 5-time WSOP bracelet winner Brian Yoon, who finished fourth for $7,259.
