The Action Table

Table 20 seems to be the action table here so far in the tournament. Every time we walk by the table, there are at least three players in every hand, regardless of pre-flop action. This table has pros Allie Prescott and Zachary Hymen. Prescott is sitting at 8,400 and Hymen is at 18,000.

Tran Doubles Up

Jimmy Tran is on the button when a player from the cut-off bets 1,000 on a flop of {9-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}. Tran goes into the tank before calling the bet.

The turn is the {3-Spades} and the cut-off bets out 2,000. Tran thinks and then declares "all in." The player in the cut-off wastes little time in calling the additional 2,925 in chips.

The players cards are turned over and Tran shows the {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} and is up against the cut-off player's {K-Spades}{7-Spades}. The river is the {6-Diamonds} and Tran successfully doubles up to 12,400.

Hover and Carli Clash

Thomas Hover
Thomas Hover
Thomas Hover and Doug "Rico" Carli have stayed out of each other's way for the most part.

The board reads {3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and Hover checks over to Carli. Carli bets out 600 and Hover calls. The river brings the {8-Clubs} and Hover checks again to Carli. Carli elects to check behind and mucks when Hover turns over the {9-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} for a flush and scoops the pot of 2,200.

Hover increased to 6,100 and Carli has dropped to 6,600.

All That Drama For a Chop

A raising war ensued between two unknown players. Seat 2 raised to 800, followed by a reraise from Gabriel Andrade in seat eight to 2,700. Seat two immediately went all in for 4,225 more. After tanking for a moment, Andrade called. Seat two showed {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds} and Andrade had {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}.

The board came {Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{K-Diamonds} resulting in a chopped pot.

Andrade stood up and declared "That's a PokerStars hand! That happens to me at least twice a week!" Someone from the crowd commented "Just twice a week?" The table got a good laugh and moved on to the next hand.

Gavin Smith Eliminated

Gavin = Gone
Gavin = Gone
Unable to get anything going this afternoon, fan favorite Gavin Smith has just been eliminated from the championship event after getting it all in pre-flop holding pocket nines against an opponent's pocket tens.
