Mateos Doubles Through Altergott

Level 11 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Timothy Adams made it 12,000 to go and Bryn Kenney on the button three-bet to 31,000. Adams gave it some consideration and tossed in a four-bet to 162,000, covering Kenney's remaining stack, and that forced a fold.

Over on the other, Max Altergott moved all in from the button for the second orbit in a row and this time Adrian Mateos called in the big blind for 67,000.

Adrian Mateos: {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}
Max Altergott: {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

The flop of {8-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{3-Clubs} was a sweat, but the {Q-Spades} turn and {J-Spades} river were both blanks to see Mateos double.

More for Schemion

Level 11 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

On a flop of {A-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}, Dan Shak check-raised to 20,000 out of the small blind and Timothy Adams called. The {3-Diamonds} fell on the turn and a bet of 30,000 did the trick for Shak. One hand later, Shak opened to 13,000 on the button and Adams called in the small blind. The {A-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop brought a continuation bet by Shak, who flashed the {A-Spades} while raking in the pot.

Ole Schemion won two pots off Felipe Ramos on the other table, one of which saw Ramos raise to 21,000 out of the small blind. Schemion called and the duo checked down the board of {Q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}. Ramos flipped over {A-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} and Schemion scooped the pot with {K-Clubs}{3-Clubs}.

Dominik Nitsche moved all in from the hijack as did Timothy Adams in the cutoff. Martin Jacobson called all in for 90,000 from the big blind and the cards were turned over.

Dominik Nitsche: {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Martin Jacobson: {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}
Timothy Adams: {A-Hearts}{A-Spades}

The board came {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{J-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Adams sent both opponents to the rail.

Only moments later, Jean-Noel Thorel sent his stack over to Max Altergott, who took a commanding lead with 10 players remaining.

Sontheimer Back on Track

Level 10 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

With around 40,000 already in the middle and the board reading {K-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}, Mikita Badziakouski pushed out of the big blind and Steffen Sontheimer called for his last 66,500. Badziakouski showed {A-}{3-} for two pair and Sontheimer had {A-Spades}{9-Hearts} for the better two pair to double for the second time in quick succession.

From Nut Low to Double Up for Sontheimer

Level 10 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

In a limped battle of the blinds, Steffen Sontheimer bet 5,000 on the {K-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop and Dan Shak called to see the {A-Clubs} turn go check, check. Sontheimer bet the {J-Clubs} river for 8,000 and Shak eventually called to see Sontheimer turn over {5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} for the nut low. Shak turned over {Q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} and joked "I called when I realized I had the nut no pair" and the entire table including Sontheimer cracked up, featuring the friendly atmosphere of the second table.

Right after, Sontheimer was all in for 43,000 with the {A-Clubs}{8-Spades} and Timothy Adams looked him up with the {K-Hearts}{J-Clubs}. The board ran out blank and Sontheimer doubled.

Thorel Spikes an Ace to Double

Level 10 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Ole Schemion scooped several pots without showdown after c-betting the flop while Ivan Luca also built his stack. The latter however just experienced a big setback against Jean-Noel Thorel.

Thorel raised to 10,500 from the cutoff and Luca three-bet out of the small blind to 27,000. Thorel moved all in for 82,500 and Luca snap-called.

Jean-Noel Thorel: {A-Diamonds}{4-Spades}
Ivan Luca: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}

Thorel stood up from his chair and sat back down as soon as he saw the {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} flop. Neither the {5-Spades} turn nor the {5-Diamonds} river improved Luca and Thorel doubled,

Thorel and Shak Jam

Level 10 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Bryn Kenney raised to 11,000 and Dan Shak moved all in from the button to force a fold.

Over on the other table, Ole Schemion's raise to 11,500 from the cutoff was followed by the shove of Jean-Noel Thorel and all oppopnents folded.

Felipe Ramos raised to 12,000 first to act and Adrian Mateos defended the big blind. On the {Q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop, Mateos checked and folded to a bet of 16,500 by Ramos.

Luca Rising Again

Level 10 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

At the end of the previous level, Dominik Nitsche raised to 8,000 on the button and Timothy Adams three-bet to 30,000 in the small blind, which Nitsche called. On the {5-Spades}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts} flop, Adams took down the pot with a successful continuation bet of 15,000.

Jean-Noel Thorel raised to 10,000 from the cutoff and Ivan Luca defended the small blind. Luca check-called a bet of 15,000 on the {J-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flop and did so again for 35,000 on the {Q-Spades} turn. Luca then min-bet the {9-Diamonds} river for 4,000 and Thorel just called. Luca rolled over {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs} and Thorel mucked what appeared to be {A-}{K-}.
