Nitsche Takes from Shak

Level 8 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Adrian Mateos raised a bet of 15,500 by Ole Schemion on the {9-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{9-Spades}{J-Clubs} river to 47,000 and Schemion eventually folded.

Over on the other table Dan Shak raised to 6,000 from the cutoff and Dominik Nitsche three-bet to 18,000, which Shak called. On the {Q-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop, Shak check-called a bet worth 15,000 before the {Q-Clubs} turn and {10-Clubs} river were checked. Shak flashed {A-Clubs}{J-Hearts} and Nitsche had that beat with {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}.

Last but not least, Timothy Adams raised to 6,000 in the cutoff and Mikita Badziakouski called on the button. Bryn Kenney shoved from the small blind and forced folds from all opponents.

"Just the Nuts" for Kenney

Level 8 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

Bryn Kenney moved all in for his last 33,200 and Dan Shak called from the small blind.

Bryn Kenney: {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}
Dan Shak: {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

"I don't flip well," Shak said before the showdown and his prediction would come true on the board of {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{J-Clubs}. "Just the nuts," Steffen Sontheimer added and Kenney scored the double to avoid a re-entry for now.

Schemion Builds Stack

Level 7 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Martin Jacobson and Bryn Kenney dropped some chips on the second table while Dominik Nitsche, Steffen Sontheimer and Mikita Badziakouski were on the rise.

Over on the other table it is Ole Schemion that slowly but surely takes over control. Felipe Ramos raised to 5,500 on the button and Schemion called in the small blind, as did Adrian Mateos in the big blind. All three players checked the {9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop and Schemion led the {3-Hearts} turn for 15,500. While Mateos called, Ramos folded after some consideration and Schemion checked again the {Q-Clubs} on the river.

Mateos checked behind and was shown {9-Spades}{8-Spades} for two pair by Schemion, which was good enough to win the pot.

Altergott Takes from Thorel

Level 7 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Jean-Noel Thorel's open raise was once again met by a three-bet of Ivan Luca for 14,000 and this time the Frenchman was having none of it and four-bet all in to force a quick fold from Luca.

Soon after, Max Altergott raised to 5,100 and picked up three callers in Felipe Ramos, Adrian Mateos and Thorel in the big blind. The four players checked through the {A-Spades}{9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} flop and just Thorel check-called a delayed continuation bet of 6,000 on the {J-Diamonds} turn. Thorel checked the {4-Spades} on the river and Altergott bet 36,000, which Thorel eventually called.

Altergott flashed {J-Hearts}{J-Spades} for a full house and Thorel mucked {A-Hearts}{4-Hearts} face up with the words "not good." Altergott replied with a "not good on the turn" and bumped up his stack once again.

Jacobson and Luca Jam Up Their Stacks

Level 7 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Martin Jacobson raised to 5,500 and Timothy Adams three-bet to 18,000 in the small blind. "You got around 80 there?" Jacobson asked and Adams showed his remaining stack. Jacobson moved all in and Adams quickly folded.

Over on the other table, Ivan Luca check-raised from 8,000 to 20,400 out of the big blind with the flop reading {10-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs}. His sole opponent was Jean-Noel Thorel on the button and the Frenchman called. On the {J-Spades} turn, Luca checked and Thorel bet 55,000. Luca gave it plenty of consideration before check-raising all in for 119,700 in total and Thorel asked to pull in his bet to see how much more it was.

Half a minute passed and Thorel folded to see Luca build his stack significantly without showdown.

Luca Rising; Kenney Shoves Into Badziakouski

Level 6 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Ivan Luca three-bet open raises by Jean-Noel Thorel several times to build his stack without showdown while Bryn Kenney did so in a single hand against Mikita Badziakouski. It was once again the battle cutoff versus hijack and Badziakouski check-called a bet of 13,200 on the {J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{7-Spades}{Q-Hearts} turn. After a check on the {2-Hearts} river, Kenney moved all in for around 40,000 and Badziakouski folded.

Fatehi Loses Flip to Schemion

Level 6 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Ali Reza Fatehi
Ali Reza Fatehi

After a raise by Ali Reza Fatehi, Ole Schemion moved all in from the big blind and Fatehi called on the button for around 70,000.

Ali Reza Fatehi: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}
Ole Schemion: {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}

The board came {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts} and neither over card appeared for Fatehi, who headed to the rail and may return on a second bullet until the start of level nine.

Two Barrels by Schemion

Level 6 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

The 14 players are active on two seven-handed tables and the action has slowed down somewhat after a furious start into the previous level.

Ole Schemion raised to 4,500 first to act and Felipe Ramos defended his big blind to see a flop of {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. Ramos checked and called a bet of 4,200 by Schemion before checking again the {7-Spades} on the turn. Schemion made it 10,200 to go and that was enough to force a fold.
