Kirsch Fades With Aces, More Than Doubles

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Daniel Kirsch opened the action with a raise from middle position to 100,000. Robin Hegele shoved all in from the cutoff for 475,000 and Mario Navarro cold four-bet all in over the top of both players from the small blind. Kirsch quickly called off his 1.175 million and the three hands were tabled.

Daniel Kirsch: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Robin Hegele: {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}
Mario Navarro: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

Kirsch was in pole position for more than a double as the dealer burned the first card and began to count out three cards onto the felt. Those three cards were then turned over and fanned out to show {6-Spades}{3-Spades}{3-Clubs}, giving Navarro the nut flush draw and Hegele outs to a backdoor straight.

The turn {5-Hearts} added more drama bringing direct outs to the gutshot straight draw for Hegele to take the main pot and triple. However, the river fell {j-Clubs} and Kirsch was able to breathe a sigh of relief as he collected Hegele's stack and had his own counted out to be matched at the expense of Navarro.

Hunichen Four-Bet Power

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Chris Hunichen
Chris Hunichen

Chris Hunichen raised from early position and was called by Jill Bryant in middle position and Warwick Mirzikinian on the button. from the big blind Christopher Ahrens three-bet to 575,000.

Hunichen asked how much Ahrens had behind and thought for a little bit before announcing a four-bet of 1,200,000. That quickly cleared out Bryant and Mirzikinian as action folded back around to Ahrens who stared Hunichen down and eyed his stack. After about thirty seconds he folded his cards and Hunichen gathered in the nice boost without having to see a flop.

Scacewater and Postelwait Depart; Vedral Doubles Through Pardo

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
David Vedral
David Vedral

Enrico Rudelitz entered the third feature table with a stack of around 5.1 million and sent Mark Scacewater to the rail.

Scacewater put his hopes on {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} and Rudelitz was ahead with the {a-Diamonds}{2-Spades}. The {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop improved Rudelitz to top pair and Scacewater was drawing dead on the {3-Clubs} turn to make the {5-Clubs} river a formality.

Right after, Sandra Postelwait was eliminated and the cameras zoomed back in for more action as David Vedral ended up all in for 2,645,000 against Robert Pardo.

David Vedral: {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Robert Pardo: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}

Vedral immediately flopped a set on {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and locked up the healthy double on the {a-Hearts} turn, the {10-Clubs} river didn't matter.

Window Card Hits Marinelli

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

There was a raise to 120,000 from the cutoff and Brian Park shipped all in for 875,000 in the small blind. Dario Marinelli called from the big blind and the cutoff stepped aside.

Dario Marinelli: {k-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Brian Park: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

Park was in great shape to double up until he saw the {k-Clubs} in the window followed by the {j-Diamonds} and {7-Hearts}. Park was down to just one out and the {2-Spades} on the turn nor the {2-Diamonds} on the river was gonna save him.

Luo Cooked by Hachem

Level 24 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Daniel Hachem
Daniel Hachem

Daniel Hachem was on the button and had action folded to him before opening to 100,000. The small blind folded and Xixiang Luo three-bet all in for around 1.3 million. Hachem called and it was time for hands to be tabled and cards to be run.

Daniel Hachem: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Xixiang Luo: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

After cracking kings once earlier in the day with ace-queen suited, Luo found himself in a similar situation in need of three outs. The flop fell {2-Clubs}{3-Spades}{8-Spades} and was followed by a turn {5-Clubs}, giving Luo backdoor outs to a wheel. Unfortunately, the river card would be his last as the dealer burned and turned the {q-Spades} and his tournament life came to an end. Meanwhile, Hachem comfortably finds himself with over a 100-big blind stack.
