The T.J. Cloutier

T.J. Cloutier raised from the button with {J-Spades} {9-Spades} and everyone folded. He revealed his hand to the table and said, "I had a hand that was named after me. So if you see me in a pot and the flop is jack-nine, watch out."

He went on to say, "I got to play it once in a while," as the table laughed it up with him.

Kroon Krushed

Mark Kroon was down to about 15,000 when a sequence of bets on a flop of {K-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts} saw him and another player all in, with a third player who covered them both also in on the action.

Kroon turned over {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for a pair and a flush draw. The other short-stacked player showed king-jack for top pair. But the player having them both covered tabled pocket deuces for a set.

The set of deuces held up, and Kroon and the other covered player are both out.

Hachem Slipping

After hitting a miracle card earlier to build a big stack, Joe Hachem has struggled to win a hand. He's at the second feature table so it's hard to get close. His latest pot loss has seen him drop back down to 23,000, almost where he started from.

Woolf Run Over at the Intersection of Korfman and Broadway

We pick up the action on the turn in a heads-up pot between Dustin "Neverwin" Woolf and "The Hilarious" Tony Korfman. There is about 7,000 in the pot already, and after fourth street, the board reads {6-Hearts} {K-Spades} {J-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}. Korfman bets 6,000. Woolf moves all in for his remaining 11,325, and Korfman beats him into the pot, tabling {A-Diamonds} {10-Hearts} for the Broadway straight. Woolf shows down {6-Clubs} {6-Diamonds}, and needs the board to pair to remain alive in the field.

The river is a blank {9-Spades}, though, and Woolf heads for the exit.

Gold on Gold

Jane Gold just called a 2,000 river bet with ace high to win a pot just as her son, Jamie, arrived to wish her luck.

"Did you just call with ace high Mom?" asked Jamie.

Her reply: "No, I won a pot with ace high. You're my good luck charm. Now come here and give me a kiss."
