Chip Counts
The last 20 players have bagged up for the night, bringing an end to Day 1d.
Stay tuned for full chip counts, along with a recap of the day.
Gabriel Simmons moved all in for 135,000 in early position, and Quang Nguyen shoved in the big blind. The stacks were counted, with Nguyen covering his opponent on the bubble.
Gabriel Simmons: Q♠Q♦
Quang Nguyen: A♣A♦
Simmons asked the dealer for his one time, but it was not to be on the 7♠10♣3♥8♣2♥ runout. Nguyen's aces held to burst the bubble, as Simmons exited in 21st place.
The final 21 players are on the money bubble, and the tournament clock has been paused.
Action will now be played hand for hand until the next elimination.
Level: 16
Blinds: 6,000/12,000
Ante: 12,000
The remaining 21 players have been sent on one last break for the night, returning to Level 16 sitting one elimination away from the money.
Dale Fenton moved his short stack all in on the 9♠3♦2♦6♣ turn from the big blind, and was called instantly by Nathanael Kogel in middle position.
Dale Fenton: 6♠2♣
Nathanael Kogel: 9♦6♦
Both players revealed two pair, with the 4♣ river leaving Kogel in front to send Fenton out before the break.
One hand after raising and showing pocket queens, Steven Stogel opened again to 22,000 in early position. John Jacob made the call in the big blind, and checked the 8♥9♠10♦ flop.
Stogel continued with another 22,000, and Jacob called to see the 2♥ turn. Jacob checked once more, and Stogel bet enough to put his opponent all in.
That sent Jacob into the tank, taking a few minutes before announcing a fold. Jacob then celebrated when Stogel showed 10♠10♣ for a flopped set of tens.
Stogel collected the pot, while Jacob indicated that he folded ace-ten to stay alive.
Nicholas Burnett checked the A♦6♣3♣ flop from the hijack, and called when Patrick Merriman fired 23,000 into the middle from the cutoff.
Another check from Burnett followed the J♠ turn, with Merriman continuing for 28,000. After taking some time, Burnett raised enough to put his opponent all in.
Merriman then took some time of his own before letting his hand go, and Brunett raked in the pot.
