MacPhee Two-Outered

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Kevin MacPhee may have grabbed an early pot but he just lost a big one with {j-}{j-} in a three bet pot against an opponent’s {9-}{9-}.

All the chips went in the middle on a flop of {7-}{4-}{3-} but a {9-} popped up on the river to do some damage to his stack.

Monfort Also with the Double

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

After a raise to 7,000, Ronan Monfort moved all in and Moundir Zoughari called all in with his short stack as well whereas the initial raiser folded. It was the {A-} {Q-} for the Team PokerStars Online Pro and pocket jacks for Zoughari, which saw Monfort take it thanks to a queen on the turn.

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

We arrived at the scene to find Ivan Luca all in and at risk for his last 53,500 against Stefan Schillhabel.

No No No

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Firas Nassar moved all in with {Q-Clubs} {J-Clubs} for two pair and his opponent Jean-Louis Perez called with {A-Hearts} {10-Hearts} to make a flush on the turn. However, the {Q-Diamonds} river gave Nassar a full house and you could only hear Perez repeatedly say "no no no" before having to leave the tournament area.

At the same time, Manuel Andrees Sadornil also hit the rail and below are the other early casualties on Day 3.

EPT Deauville Story of the Day: Smaller Turnout, Great Value

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

We spoke to PokerNews blogger and PokerNews.nl editor in chief Frank Op de Woerd about the smaller turnout, but the great value in the EPT Deauville Main Event. We also looked forward to the next two events in Malta and Monte Carlo.

Tatiana Barausova waited for a long time, but a minute ago she finally found the oh so desired double up. A player in middle position opened for 6,000 and Barausova shoved from the cutoff for 34,100. The button and both blinds folded, the initial raiser made the call.

Initial raiser: {2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}
Tatiana Barausova: {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}

The {A-Spades}{4-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{Q-Hearts} board favored Barausova and she doubled up.

Vogelhuber and Rohr Double

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Ognjen Sekularac had made some chips early today and then raised and called the three-bet shove of Jean-Philippe Rohr with the {A-Clubs} {J-Diamonds}. Rohr was dominated with {K-Hearts} {J-Hearts} but found a double with the board running out {9-Spades} {Q-Spades} {6-Spades} {10-Hearts} {4-Clubs}. The Frenchman didn't even realize at first before his table mates pointed out that he had won.

Bernd Vogelhuber also doubled up. Luca Giovannone had raised, Guillaume Darcourt called and the German three-bet. Giovannone shoved with pocket jacks and Vogelhuber called with pocket kings to double through.

Scary River Card

Level 15 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Olivier Piechaczyk completed in the small blind when action folded to him and Milan Tomasz Rabsz in the big blind raised it up a little. Piechaczyk had the big stack and he put in the calling chips.

The flop was {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{j-Spades} and Piechaczyk check-called a 7,000 bet from Rabsz. The {6-Diamonds} came on the river and now it was a 15,500 bet that Piechaczyk check-called.

The {k-Hearts} popped up on the river completing a lot of draws and Piechaczyk took the opportunity to bet 23,000. Maybe a minute passed before Rabsz paid the price to see the cards. The bad news was that Piechaczyk had got there with {j-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Rabsz couldn’t beat the flush so he mucked.
