Worst Turn Card for Semaska

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

On the {K-Spades} {A-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} flop, Justas Semaska bet 1,800 and was called by one opponent to see the {Q-Hearts} on the turn. The Lithuanian checked and his opponent took advantage of the perfect scare card in order to take away the pot with a bet of 4,000. Semaska gave up this hand but is still sitting on an above-average stack.

Grospellier Extracts the Max

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Laurent Strouk opened the action from first position and got called by Bertrand Grospellier. The flop was {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}{a-Diamonds} and Strouk continued for 1,500. Grospellier flicked out the call as he sized his opponent up and they saw the {4-Clubs} land on the turn.

A bet of 2,500 from Strouk this time and again a call from the Team PokerStars Pro. The river {7-Hearts} completed the board and Strouk bet yet again, making it 4,500. Grospellier plucked some raising chips from his stack and threw out 16,600.

Strouk looked momentarily confused but didn’t take long to make the call. Grospellier showed {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for flopped trips, besting the {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} that Strouk turned over in exasperation.

Wydrowski With Quads

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

In a preflop raising war, Yuri Martins Dzivielevski got the remainder of his 14,000 stack in with {A-Spades} {K-Hearts} and Marcin Wydrowski took the flip with {10-Diamonds} {10-Hearts}. Not only did he leave the Brazilian in desperate shape after the {4-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {6-Clubs} flop but locked it up with the {10-Spades} turn already. No more cards could help Martins Dzivielevski and the meaningless {3-Hearts} river completed the board.

Jones Bombs River

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Andrius Bielskis kicked it off with a bet of 1,000 and picked up four callers including another late entrant, Rhys Jones, with position.

They got to the turn without any further action and with the board reading {q-Hearts}{10-Spades}{q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} it was Jones who took the initiative when it was checked to him betting 3,600. Bielskis was the only player to hang around to see the river fall the {5-Spades} and he checked it over to Jones to see what he would do.

Jones took a few moments before throwing out a chunky 8,200 bet. Bielskis didn’t look convinced and asked for the pot to be spread. A minute or so passed before he thought better of it and mucked his hand.

ElkY Cracks 100k

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante
Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier
Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier

Three players including Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier and Stephan Fajg were looking down at a board of {3-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{2-Spades}{8-Clubs}. Grospellier had first action and he fired out a bet of 6,600 into a pot of roughly 12,000 total. The next player to act folded while Faig stuck around to see the river.

The dealer completed the board with the {a-Diamonds} and Grospellier once again grabbed a handful of chips. This time he moved 9,200 past the betting line and he once again found a quick call from Faig. Faig instantly mucked his hand, however, after seeing Grospellier's {3-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for two pair.

Grospellier grabbed the pot and now has a six-figure chip stack with 115,500 to his name.

"It is not Christmas Every Day"

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Fabrice Somers opened to 1,200 and got called by one opponent before fellow Belgian Bart Moens raised to 4,000. Somers grabbed some bigger chip denominations to put his opponents all in and then let out a quick "oh damn" when Moens snap-called for his last 18,525.

Somers had the {A-Hearts} {3-Hearts} and faced {J-Spades} {J-Diamonds} with the board running out {7-Spades} {5-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {5-Clubs} {K-Hearts}. He joked in French which translated to "It is not Christmas every day".

Nedved Out; Mozaffarian Stacked

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

On the table of Valdemar Kwaysser and Amir Mozaffarian, seat one is occupied by another player as Johnny Nedved. The Belgian apparently donk-bet a six-high flop with two spades for 5,000 and called all in for 22,000 total with {J-Spades} {9-Spades} for the flush draw when Kwaysser put him all in. The queens of the Hungarian held up.

Mozaffarian was up to six digits already but then lost the all in against a short stack with {A-Hearts} {10-Diamonds} versus {K-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} for around 8,000 in chips.
