Jose Quintas Eliminated in 11th Place; Rok Gostisa Eliminated in 10th Place (€44,420 each)

Level 18 : 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante
Jose Quintas
Jose Quintas

Byron Kaverman made it 55,000 to go and Rok Gostisa then three-bet to 110,000 with a stack of just under 400,000. Jose Quintas was forced all-in for 10,000 in the small blind and Kaverman then moved all-in with the covering stack for Gostisa to instantly call all-in.

Jose Quintas: {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}
Rok Gostisa: {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Byron Kaverman: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}

Gostisa was looking forward to a large double and potentially leave Kaverman short. However, the {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop improved Kaverman to trips kings and he retained the lead on the {3-Spades} turn and {j-Spades} river to secure a double knockout. Quintas and Gostisa both receive €44,420 for their efforts.

All nine remaining players will now redraw to the nine-handed final table and take a short break for a chip race of the T-1,000 denominations.

Greenwood Double Leaves Quintas on Fumes

Level 17 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Sam Greenwood open-shoved for 189,000 in an early position and Rok Gostisa eyeballed the stack, then asked for a count before folding. Jose Quintas in the big blind used all but five seconds of his shot clock and called all-in out of the big blind.

Sam Greenwood: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Jose Quintas: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}

None of the two overcards or broadway appeared on the {9-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{6-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Hearts} board and Quintas was left with two chips and a chair.

Kaverman Doubles; Reixach Busts on the Bubble

Level 17 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Sergi Reixach
Sergi Reixach

Andras Nemeth pushed into a table of shorter stacks and was called by Byron Kaverman, who was at risk for exactly 250,000 out of the big blind.

As they waited for the other table to complete the action, Nemeth jokingly asked "how much do you have, by the way." Kaverman replied with the exact amount and they then proceeded with the showdown.

Byron Kaverman: {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}
Andras Nemeth: {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}

The {j-Spades}{10-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop was not without some sweat but both the {4-Clubs} turn and {4-Hearts} river kept Kaverman in contention.

During the same hand on the other table, Daniel Dvoress had opened to 40,000 and then instantly called the shove by Sergi Reixach for what appeared to be around 500,000.

Sergi Reixach: {a-Spades}{10-Diamonds}
Daniel Dvoress: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

While the {a-Clubs} appeared in the window, it was followed by {k-Hearts}{7-Spades} to leave Reixach on the brink of elimination. His exit was confirmed with the {2-Spades} turn to render the {6-Hearts} river a formality and let the bubble burst.

"That was me this time," Dvoress joked to Sam Grafton.

Tabatabai Wins Small Pot Without any Drama

Level 17 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Reza Tabatabai limped in from under the gun and Sam Grafton did so from the small blind, while chip leader Daniel Dvoress checked in the big blind. They checked all the way to the {k-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{q-Spades} river on which Tabatabai bet 55,000 and earned two folds.

The surge of Tabatabai was then cut short for a moment when Sergi Reixach won a pot with {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} on an ace-high board.

More for Tabatabai and Gostisa

Level 17 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Heads-up to the {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{7-Clubs} turn, Daniel Dvoress bet 50,000 and Reza Tababatai called from the next seat. Dvoress checked the {9-Diamonds} on the river and Tabatabai bet 125,000. Chip leader Dvoress gave it some consideration and folded to get shown the {j-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for a straight by Tabatabai.

One table over, Rok Gostisa raised to 40,000 in the cutoff. Andras Nemeth applied pressure with a button three-bet to 115,000 and Gostisa responded with a four-bet for almost his entire stack. Nemeth folded in a matter of seconds to concede the pot.

Tabatabai Chips Up on the Bubble

Level 16 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Reza Tabatabai raised to 50,000 in the hijack and Andriy Lyubovetskiy three-bet to 140,000 in the cutoff for the initial raiser to call. On the {9-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Spades} flop, Tabatabai opted to check-call for 110,000 and checked again the {8-Hearts} turn with 229,000 behind.

Lyubovetskiy eyeballed the stack of his table neighbour and checked behind. Both also checked the {5-Clubs} on the river and the {a-Spades}{j-Spades} of Tabatabai won the pot, as Lyubovetskiy sent his cards into the muck.

Dzivielevski Outkicks Reixach

Level 16 : 8,000/16,000, 16,000 ante

Sergi Reixach raised to 45,000 from the small blind for Yuri Dzivielevski to defend his big blind.

The flop came {6-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, Reixach check-called the 35,000 bet of Dzivielevski.

The turn was the {k-Clubs} and they both checked to the {10-Hearts} on the river. They both did the same again for Reixach to be the first to show. He tabled the {q-Spades}{j-Diamonds} but Dzivielevski got to claim the pot with the {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} for the higher kicker to go with the pair of tens on the board.

"Next hand," the floor announced as nothing else happened over on the other table during the bubble.
