D'Alterio Doubles Through Gomez Zapatero

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Soon after returning from the dinner break, Javier Gomez Zapatero jammed out of the small blind into the big blind of Luigi D'Alterio. The Italian checked his cards, shrugged and called within three seconds.

Luigi D'Alterio: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Javier Gomez Zapatero: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}

The {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}{10-Hearts} flop vaulted D'Alterio into the lead and he further improved to broadway on the {q-Diamonds} turn. Only an ace would secure a split pot but the {k-Diamonds} river gave D'Alterio the full double for 1,175,000.

Saout Wins Showdown Pot Versus Gomez Zapatero

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Jun Obara raised to 100,000 from under the gun and was called by Javier Gomez Zapatero on the button as well as Antoine Saout in the big blind.

The {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop was checked to Gomez Zapatero, who bet 125,000. Only Saout called and both then checked down the {5-Spades} turn and {3-Clubs} river. Saout tabled the {k-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and that won the pot.

Ionut-Flavius Voinea Eliminated in 12th Place (€62,450)

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Ionut-Flavius Voinea
Ionut-Flavius Voinea

The action started with a raise to 100,000 by Ionut-Flavius Voinea and Paul-Adrian Covaciu in the hijack three-bet to 260,000. A few orbits earlier, the same preflop action had concluded with a fold from Voinea but he stuck around this time.

Voinea checked the {k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop and Covaciu bet 125,000. The check-shove by Voinea followed and his fellow countryman beat him into the pot within a fraction of a second.

Ionut-Flavius Voinea: {k-Spades}{j-Spades}
Paul-Adrian Covaciu: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

"Nice hand," Voinea said and bumped fists with Covaciu already. He needed running spades to survive but the {3-Clubs} turn ended his run in 12th place, which was made official by the {10-Hearts} river.

Saccucci Adds Even More With Flush

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Istvan Pilhofer {a-Spades}{7-Diamonds} opened to 110,000 from under the gun. In the big blind, Jordan Saccucci {k-Spades}{8-Spades} made the call.

The flop came down {9-Hearts}{3-Spades}{10-Spades}. Saccucci checked, and Pilhofer continued for 60,000. Saccucci tried to call but accidentally put out 100,000, so he was forced to min-raise to 120,000. Pilhofer made the call.

The turn showed up the {7-Hearts}. Both players checked.

The river was the action {7-Spades}, giving the flush to Saccucci and trips to Pilhofer. Saccucci bet 225,000, and Pilhofer quickly called.

Saout Wakes Up with Kings

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Antoine Saout
Antoine Saout

Ionut-Flavius Voinea opened to 100,000 in the hijack and Luigi D'Alterio shipped all in for 2,600,000 in the small blind. Antoine Saout woke up with a monster in the big blind and called off his stack of 1,040,000. Voinea got out of the way and the two hands were tabled.

Antoine Saout: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Luigi D'Alterio: {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}

Saout was in a great position to double up and the flop of {a-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} provided no immediate danger. The {3-Diamonds} on the turn locked it up and Saout doubled through D'Alterio.

Gomez Zapatero Assumes Control on Outer Table

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Luigi D'Alterio raised to 100,000 from under the gun and was called only by Javier Gomez Zapatero in the big blind. On a {10-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop, Gomez Zapatero checked and D'Alterio bet 85,000. The Spaniard check-raised to 240,000 and that shut down D'Alterio.

Shortly after, Paul-Adrian Covaciu made it 100,000 to go in the cutoff. Gomez Zapatero clicked it back to 300,000 only for Covaciu to four-bet to 725,000 in total. A very quick five-bet shove by Gomez Zapatero followed and Covaciu snap-folded.

Obara Pressuring the Short Stacks

Level 26 : Blinds 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Antoine Saout limped in from the small blind and Jun Obara just ripped all in, knowing that there is a pay jump with the next elimination. Saout folded and Obara collected the chips.

On the next hand, the action folded to Obara who shoved all in from the small blind. Ionut-Flavius Voinea shook his head and was forced to give up his big blind.

Following that, Saout raised to 100,000 in the cutoff and Obara replied with a re-raise to 260,000 on the button. The blinds folded and Saout laid his hand down as well.
