Huang Burns Five Time Banks, Makes Correct Call

Level 32 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Wei Huang
Wei Huang

In the previous hand, Wei Huang raised to 400,000 from under the gun with {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. Viktor Katzenberger had {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} on the button and three-bet to 1,050,000 with the blades. Both the blinds and Huang snap-folded.

The next hand, Nicola Grieco raised to 500,000 and Huang called out of the big blind. On the {9-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} flop, Huang checked and Grieco instantly shoved it in, covering Huang's stack. It was 3,700,000 total for the Chinese if he was to call it off.

Huang burned through all of his five (!) time bank cards before calling it off for his tournament life.

Nicola Grieco: {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}
Wei Huang: {a-Hearts}{5-Spades}

Grieco revealed first and Huang slammed his hand open on the felt after seeing he was ahead. The {4-Spades} on the turn added extra outs for the Italian, but the {8-Diamonds} river was safe for Huang, who celebrated the double-up with Haoxiang Wang on the rail. Grieco gave the Chinese pair a death stare and added some words in Italian before sitting back down.

Huang Doubles Through Katzenberger

Level 32 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante
Wei Huang
Wei Huang

Wei Huang shoved 2,400,000 all in from under the gun. Viktor Katzenberger reshoved all in on the button and the other players folded.

Wei Huang: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Viktor Katzenberger: {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}

Once again in a hand with pocket kings, an ace hit the flop on {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{2-Spades}, but with no aces involved this time the kings remained ahead. Huang faded the sevens on the {9-Hearts} turn and {10-Hearts} river to keep the tournament going with five players.

Back and Forth Without a Flop

Level 32 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Nicola Grieco raised to 500,000 first to act with the {4-Spades}{4-Hearts} and scooped the blinds and big blind ante.

Manig Loeser opened to 400,000 with {a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and that also took down the pot preflop.

Grieco raised to 600,000 with {10-Spades}{4-Clubs} and Viktor Katzenberger three-bet to 1,800,000 with {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} to shut down all further action.

Wei Huang
Wei Huang

Viktor Katzenberger limped the {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} in from the cutoff and Wei Huang checked his option with {9-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. Katzenberger fired 250,000 on the {a-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Spades} flop and Huang check-called. On the {9-Hearts} turn, Katzenberger got rid of Huang with a second barrel worth 550,000.

Left with 2,500,000, Huang shoved {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs} in the next hand and big blind Nicola Grieca folded against the 12 big blind shove with {k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}.

Riess Jams Twice

Level 32 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Viktor Katzenberger raised to 425,000 with the {k-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and Ryan Riess jammed for 2,125,000 with {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} to scoop a nice pot without showdown.

Manig Loeser opened to 400,000 first to act with the {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and Wei Huang on the button had the {2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, which he sent to the muck. Katzenberger defended the {10-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and the {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} flop brought no betting action.

On the {3-Hearts} turn both players checked once again and the {9-Diamonds} fell on the river. Katzenberger checked the third street in a row and Loeser studied his opponent carefully before checking behind and claiming the pot.

Ryan Riess open-shoved for 3,060,000 first to act with the {a-Clubs}{j-Clubs} and that won the blinds and big blind ante.

Grieco Gets Riess Off Middle Pair

Level 32 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Nicola Grieco raised to 525,000 from the cutoff with {a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Ryan Riess defended his big blind with {j-Clubs}{9-Spades}. Riess flopped middle pair on the {q-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs} and checked.

Grieco instantly shoved it in with the ace-high, putting Riess to the test for his final 2,240,000. Riess sighed and laid down the best hand. Grieco exhaled deeply and showed the bluff.

Manig Loeser limped the {6-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Ryan Riess checked with the {10-Spades}{2-Clubs}. They checked the {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop and the {j-Clubs} turn.

On the {9-Hearts} river, Loeser bet 1,500,000 which had Riess's 980,000 covered. The 2013 WSOP Main Event champion used a time bank before making the call with his ten-high to double.

Vikto Katzenberger
Vikto Katzenberger

Manig Loeser raised to 400,000 with the {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Nicola Grieco flat-called with {a-Hearts}{q-Spades} in the small blind, Viktor Katzenberger filled up with {k-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} in the big blind. On the {5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop all three players checked to see the {7-Clubs} turn.

Grieco checked, Katzenberger bet 850,000 with 2,940,000 behind and that won the pot.

Katzenberger picked up the {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} in the small blind next and limped in.

"Do you know how much you have?" Loeser in the big blind asked and raised to 600,000 with the {q-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. Katzenberger made the call and they headed to the {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}{7-Spades} flop. Katzenberger checked and Loeser checked behind to see the {k-Hearts} turn.

Grieco Takes From Loeser

Level 32 : 100,000/200,000, 200,000 ante

Viktor Katzenberger jammed for 3,590,000 in the cutoff with the {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts} and won the blinds and big blind ante.

Manig Loeser opened first to act with {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts} and Nicola Grieco in the small blind with a four-deuce counted his stack before sending his cards into the muck. Katzenberger in the big blind was tempted with {q-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and made the call.

The flop came {k-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Katzenberger checked, Loeser bet 300,000 and that won the pot right there.

Grieco limped the button with the {3-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and Loeser checked with {j-Spades}{4-Clubs} in the big blind. On a flop of {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs}, both players checked and the {7-Spades} appeared on the turn. Both players checked once more and the {3-Hearts} fell on the river. Loeser bet 350,000 and Grieco snap-called to win the pot.
