Four-Bet Jam by Kurganov

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Alexandros Kolonias raised to 45,000 from the hijack and Manuchehr Khangah called in the cutoff. From the small blind, Diego Ventura three-bet to 150,000 and Igor Kurganov then four-bet all in for 919,000. While Kolonias and Khangah quickly folded, Ventura glanced over to his table neighbor.

Kurganov proceeded to cut out his entire stack for Ventura, and the Peruvian then folded.

Aces for Kurganov

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Towards the end of the previous level, a series of three hands took place on table number four with Diego Ventura and Igor Kurganov picking up chips.

Hand 1

Alexandros Kolonias raised to 35,000 from under the gun and Ventura three-bet to 95,000 in the cutoff. Kolonias called and the {7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop saw him checking. Ventura continued for 120,000 and Kolonias let go.

Hand 2

Manuchehr Khangah limped in and Kolonias checked in the big blind. On the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs} flop, both players checked. Kolonias bet the ]Jc] turn for 30,000 and folded when Khangah raised to 80,000.

Hand 3

Kurganov raised to 40,000 and Khangah called in the big blind. There was no betting action on the {10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop and the {10-Hearts} turn. Khangah then bet the {4-Diamonds} river for 100,000 and Kurganov quickly called. Khangah showed {Q-Clubs}{8-Spades}, but Kurganov had that beat with {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}.

Rainer Kempe Eliminated by Timothy Adams

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Rainer Kempe
Rainer Kempe

"Let me rub my cards just in case he moves all in," said Philipp Gruissem in the big blind, as action folded to Rainer Kempe in the cutoff. Rainer Kempe duly moved all in for 194,000

"Well the first half of my prediction was true!" said Gruissem, continually rubbing his cards face down on the felt. However, the German didn't count on the actions of Timothy Adams in the small blind. He three-bet enough to force Gruissem out of the hand and turned over {9-Clubs}{9-Hearts}. Kempe was behind as he tabled {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs}.

The board ran out {k-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} meaning that Kempe was eliminated, and Adams moved himself among the chip leaders

Loosli vs O'Dwyer

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Defending champion Sylvain Loosli was first to act and raised. Big blind Steve O'Dwyer was the sole caller.

Both players checked on {7-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades} and so the {4-Diamonds} on the turn was seen for free. O'Dwyer checked and called the 42,000 bet that followed. The river {2-Hearts} saw O'Dwyer check-call another 65,000, but he mucked upon being shown {A-Hearts}{8-Hearts} by Loosli.

Adrian Mateos opened to 32,000 in middle position. To his left, Mikita Badziakouski called the raise, having just one more big bet behind after losing most of his stack to Daniel Dvoress earlier. Stanley Choi three-bet to 100,000 from the small blind, Mateos called, and Badziakouski called all in for 74,000 total.

Choi checked the {J-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs} flop, Mateos bet 125,000, and Choi folded.

Adrian Mateos: {J-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Mikita Badziakouski: {A-Spades}{7-Spades}

Badziakouski flopped trips and was in prime position to triple up, but after the {10-Clubs} turn and {8-Spades} river, Mateos improved to a straight to send the Belarusian home.

Mikhail Rudoy
Mikhail Rudoy

Mikhail Rudoy raised to 35,000 from the hijack and Timothy Adams defended his big blind to see a flop of {Q-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs}. Adams checked, Rudoy continued for 40,000 and Adams called. On the {Q-Hearts} turn, Adams led for 50,000 and Rudoy called before Adams then moved all in after the {J-Diamonds} fell on the river.

Rudoy called it off and was shown {Q-Spades}{7-Diamonds} for a full house by Adams, mucked his {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for trips queens and headed to the rail.

Anthony Zinno Busts in Three-Way All In

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Anthony Zinno
Anthony Zinno

Anthony Zinno had been nursing the same stack for most of the day and eventually got even shorter as of lately. He then shoved for around 165,000 from the hijack and Mikita Badziakouski announced all in from the button. Daniel Dvoress called all in for less out of the small blind with the second biggest stack of the trio and the cards were tabled.

Zinno: {A-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}
Dvoress: {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}
Badziakouski: {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}

The {9-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts} flop gave Zinno some hope for a miracle, but the {5-Clubs} turn and {3-Diamonds} river failed to improve the American pro and he was eliminated. Dvoress doubled through Badziakouski for 262,000 and left the latter very short.

Stanley Choi Takes From Daniel Dvoress

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Daniel Dvoress raised to 38,000 and Stanley Choi three-bets to 81,000. Dvoress called and the pair saw a flop of {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. Dvoress checked and Choi continued for 100,000. Dvoress called.

The turn was the {q-Diamonds} and both checked. The river was the {j-Diamonds} and again both players checked. Dvoress turned over {a-}{j-} but Choi turned over {a-}{q-} and made a show of pointing at the queen on the turn, before scooping the pot

Level 13 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
David Peters
David Peters

After having to give up a bigger pot to Erik Seidel on an ace-high board, Nick Petrangelo announced all in soon after from the hijack and cut out his stack for 256,000 in total. David Peters also moved all in from the button with less than that and the players in the blinds folded.

Peters: {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}
Petrangelo: {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}

The board ran out {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs} and the pair of sevens held for Petrangelo to send Peters to the rail. With 32 players remaining, the fifth table broke right after and once down to the last 24, the first redraw will take place.
