Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Fedor Holz raised from late position and Dario Sammartino three-bet all in for 285,000 out of the button. Holz called with a pocket pair, only to find himself with two outs and hopes of a four card flush.

Sammartino: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Holz: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}

After a board of {3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{2-Spades}, Sammartino doubled and Holz dropped some chips.

Kitai and Farrell Double Through O'Dwyer

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Niall Farrell was all in and at risk with his short stack and the {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} for the last 149,000. Steve O'Dwyer looked him up with the {A-Hearts}{4-Spades} and the board ran out {7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades}{6-Spades}{10-Clubs} to give Farrell a double. "Now we are even on flips for today," he joked to O'Dwyer.

Soon after, O'Dwyer raised from the cutoff and Davidi Kitai moved in from the big blind for a very similar amount as Farrell before. O'Dwyer called with {K-Spades}{9-Hearts} and Kitai had the {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}. Both made a straight on the {J-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts} board and Kitai doubled also.

McDonald Forces Out Choi

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Mike McDonald was the initial raiser and Stanley Choi defended his big blind, then check-called a continuation bet on the {A-Spades}{J-Spades}{9-Diamonds} flop. On the {2-Hearts} turn, Choi checked and McDonald bet 125,000. Choi check-raised to 250,000 and McDonald called to see the {8-Hearts} appear on the river.

Choi checked, McDonald moved all in and that was enough to win the pot uncontested, as Choi folded.

Choi held {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts} and Helppi {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}. The board came {4-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and Helppi was eliminated shortly before the scheduled dinner break.

Seidel Busts Petrangelo

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Nick Petrangelo
Nick Petrangelo

Steve O'Dwyer, first to act, made it 40,000. From the hijack Erik Seidel called and action folded to Nick Petrangelo in the big blind. Petrangelo, who won the opening €10,000 event here this festival, shoved all in for, as far as we could see, about 580,000. O'Dwyer folded and Seidel called just as quick.

Nick Petrangelo: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}
Erik Seidel: {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}

The board ran out {9-Hearts}{6-Spades}{7-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Spades} and Petrangelo made his exit. Seidel, it looks like, just under 2,000,000.

Steve O'Dwyer Doubles Through Niall Farrell

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Steve O'Dwyer
Steve O'Dwyer

Niall Farrell raised from early position to 45,000. Steve O'Dwyer called from the button, as did Erik Seidel from the big blind. The flop was {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}. Both Seidel and then Farrell checked to O'Dwyer, who bet 110,000. Seidel folded quickly, but Farrell looked like hew as going to be sticking around.

After a while he announced all in, covering his opponent's stack. O'Dwyer pulled a perplexed looking face.

"I haven't played much poker over the last few weeks," he said, "So I'm just going to..." he made an action with his hands and contemplated his decision.

In the end he called and tabled {8-Spades}{7-Spades} for a pair of eights, and was ahead of Farrell's flush draw and over cards with {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. The turn was the {6-Spades} and the river the {10-Spades} giving O'Dwyer the double up. "Wrong order," remarked Farrell.

"That was a dirty double up!" exclaimed tablemate Nick Petrangelo. With this hand O'Dwyer moved up over 1,000,000 in chips.

Raise the River

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Daniel Dvoress
Daniel Dvoress

From first position, Adrian Mateos raised to 42,000. His neighbor Daniel Dvoress called and so did big blind Connor Drinan.

The flop came {A-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Spades} and all three of them checked. The {K-Hearts} hit the turn and Drinan and Mateos checked again. Dvoress had enough of all the checking and bet 46,000. Drinan tanked for a bit before folding, Mateos called.

The {7-Spades} completed the board and Mateos lead out for 30,000. Dvoress glanced at Mateos, and then decided to raise to 217,000. Mateos called, but mucked upon being shown {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} by Dvoress.

Adams Keeps up the Pressure

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Timothy Adams raised to 50,000 from under the gun and start-of-the-day chip leader Julian Stuer called the extra 30,000 out of the big blind. There was no betting action on the {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Hearts} flop and the {K-Clubs} turn provided much of the same.

On the {3-Hearts} river, Stuer bet 70,000 and Adams raised to 280,000 in order to force a fold from Stuer.

Farrell takes from Petrangelo

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

On the button, Niall Farrell raised to 45,000 and Nick Petrangelo called in the big blind. "Do you know how much you have?" Farrell asked and Petrangelo replied "another 400 behind" before the duo headed to the {J-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop. The action went check, check, and same applied for the {2-Clubs} turn as well.

On the {A-Clubs} river, Petrangelo checked, Farrell bet 50,000 and Petrangelo called. He was shown the {A-Spades}{10-Clubs} by Farrell and mucked.

Earlier Sarah Herring talked to him about Rating High Roller players and winning the €10K single-day tournament.

Juanda Squeezes, Gives Up

Level 14 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Timothy Adams opened in late position to 50,000 and Leo Yan Ho Cheng called on the button. John Juanda three-bet from the small blind to 180,000, which got Adams out of the way. Cheng, however, elected to call, creating a pot of over 400,000 already preflop.

Juanda and Cheng proceeded to check it down on {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{9-Spades}. After Juanda's last check, Cheng fired 250,000, and Juanda folded.
