Yockey Takes From Seidel

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Erik Seidel was the initial raiser from under the gun and he picked up calls from Bryce Yockey in the small blind and Manig Loeser in the big blind. The {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Spades} flop was checked around and Yockey also checked the {7-Hearts} on the turn. Loeser now bet 78,000 and Seidel made the call.

Yockey had other plans and check-raised to 275,000, which forced out Loeser and resulted in a call from Seidel. The {a-Diamonds} on the river brought a large bet of Yockey and Seidel surrendered.

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Nicolas Malo opened to 40,000 from the cutoff. Vincent Wan three-bet to 160,000 from the small blind and Ali Ghezelbash four-bet all in for 299,000 from the big blind.

Malo folded and Wan called.

Vincent Wan: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Ali Ghezelbash: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

The board came {3-Clubs}{3-Spades}{k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} with Ghezelbash initially getting to his feet as if he had been eliminated.

"Chop it up," said tablemate Mike Del Vecchio and the pair chopped with the same full house, threes full of kings.

Erik Seidel has retained the lead over on table 25 with several three-bets and scooping smaller pots while Oliver Weis just climbed up the leaderboard after a hand against Seidel. A raise to 40,000 brought the three-bet to 140,000 by Weis and Seidel called.

On a flop of {q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{6-Spades}, Seidel checked and Weis took down the pot with a bet of 85,000.

Yockey Gets Short; Doubles Through Loeser

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Bryce Yockey was caught bluffing when he bet the {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{k-Spades} river out of the big blind for what appeared to be 175,000 as he could only turn over {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. Erik Seidel called with the {j-Clubs}{10-Spades} and won the pot.

Right after, Mai Ha raised the button to 70,000 and Yockey stuck his 608,000 in from the small blind. Manig Loeser asked for a count and shipped all in over the top, Ha folded.

Bryce Yockey: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Manig Loeser: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

The board came {9-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and Yockey paired his king on the turn to secure the double.

Wu Takes His Time

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

Jack Wu opened to 55,000 and Nicolas Malo three-bet to 125,000 from the next position.

With the action back on Wu, he took his time with his decision. He elaborately counted out his stack, before waving his hand towards the stack of Malo as if to count that. Eventually he pulled back his original bet, but still took another two and a half minutes before betting 33,000.

"What do you have behind?" asked Malo. "I think you know."

Eventually Malo folded.

"If you bet faster I go all in," said Malo.

Quads For Pupillo

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante

In a battle of the blinds, Dingxiang Ong check-called a bet of 50,000 by Nick Pupillo on the {j-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop and check-called another 140,000 on the {j-Spades} turn.

The {q-Hearts} fell on the river and Ong checked once more, then faced a third barrel for 340,000. Ong called with 100,000 behind and Pupillo turned over the {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs} for quads to drag in a very healthy pot.

Steve Miller Eliminated in 22nd Place (A$61,500)

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 20,000 ante
Steven Miller
Steven Miller

The restart after the break barely brought any major hands except for one on the feature table and it was then Steven Miller who ended up all-in. After going through the blinds, he was down to 163,000 in the small blind the next orbit and Oliver Weis raised the button to 40,000.

Miller announced all-in and Mai Ha in the big blind asked for a count, he then called and Weis folded.

Steven Miller: {a-Clubs}{3-Spades}
Mai Ha: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}

The {k-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} flop left Miller drawing dead, both the {q-Spades} turn and {2-Hearts} river were a formality. Miller has been eliminated in 22nd place and takes home A$61,500 for his efforts.
