Bryce Yockey opened the action with a raise to 70,000 from under the gun and Goran Mandic came along out of the big blind. It was Mandic that bet the {8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop for 40,000 and Yockey called.

Pupillo Loses Some to Yockey and Hoang

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

On the tail end of a hand between Bryce Yockey and Nick Pupillo, the former bet the {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} river for 210,000 and Pupillo eventually called. Yockey rolled over the {k-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for top two pair and Pupillo mucked.

Shortly after, Pupillo check-raised the {q-Clubs}{5-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop to 150,000 and picked up a call by Ngoc Tai Hoang. There was no betting action on the {2-Hearts} turn and {8-Clubs} river, and Pupillo revealed the {k-Spades}{j-Clubs} for king-jack high. Hoang raked in the pot with {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} and both players were within a few big blinds after the hand was over.

Three-Bet Pot for Mandic; Wan Shows a Bluff

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

Goran Mandic has climbed back to one million in chips while Bryce Yockey has taken a hit and fallen behind the Croatian over on table 28. Ngoc Tai Hoang raised to 52,000 on the button and Mandic three-bet to 180,000 out of the small blind in order to receive a call from Hoang.

The {a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Diamonds} flop resulted in a bet of 110,000 by Mandic and Hoang folded.

Shortly after on table 31, Vincent Wan check-raised to 400,000 on the {q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} turn and Oliver Weis made the call. The {4-Hearts} river brought a near-instant push of Wan for around 800,000 and Weis folded to get shown the {a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} of Wan.

Malo Doubles Through Del Vecchio

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

Mike Del Vecchio raised it up from under the gun and Oliver Weis three-bet the button to 155,000. Del Vecchio four-bet to 320,000 and Weis released his cards into the muck.

One hand later, Nicolas Malo eventually made his move and open-shoved out of the small blind for the last 371,000 and Del Vecchio gave it some thought in the big blind before making the call.

Nicolas Malo: {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}
Mike Del Vecchio: {k-Clubs}{7-Spades}

The {q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{a-Spades} board gave Malo a set of jacks and he remained in contention.

Kang Lays Down Queens

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

Jinsoo Kang {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} opened pre-flop to 50,000 and Gareth Pepper {10-Hearts}{9-Spades} defended his big blind.

The flop came {6-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} and Pepper check-called 42,000.

The turn was the {10-Clubs} and Pepper bet 75,000. Kang called.

The river was the {9-Diamonds} giving Pepper a full house, and he bet 175,000. After a lengthy tank, Kang eventually opted to fold and was left with 1.4 million in chips.

Back to the Short Stack Grind for Ha

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

Oliver Weis tangled with Mai Ha and check-called a bet of 30,000 on the {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop before doing so again for 110,000 on the {a-Diamonds} turn.

The {8-Hearts} fell on the river and Weis checked the third street in a row. Ha now fired a third barrel for 250,000 and Weis called within half a minute while glancing at his phone that showed a current Australian Open match.

Ha shook his head and turned over the {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, which Weis had beat with {a-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for a full house.

Trips for Del Vecchio

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

Mike Del Vecchio and Vincent Wan checked through the {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}{j-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} turn and Del Vecchio then bet the {8-Diamonds} river for 212,000 into a pot of around 140,000. Wan gave it just a few seconds of consideration and stuck in calling chips.

Del Vecchio tabled the {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for trips queens and Wan mucked.
