2024 WSOP $25K Fantasy Poker

The 2024 World Series of Poker (WSOP) is nearing its conclusion, but there is still plenty of poker action before the doors close on the Las Vegas series. That includes crowning a winner in the $10,000 Main Event, which attracted a record field of 10,112 players. However, just 160 players will return for Friday’s Day 6, and of those six are draftees in the popular $25K Fantasy Draft.

Each of these players is guaranteed a modest three fantasy points, but if they can outlast 52 players and make the top 108 they will trigger the massive 100-point field bonus, which could have big implications in the current standings.

The Main Event money bubble burst back on Day 4, and since then 27 players from the $25K Fantasy league have hit the rail, each earning three points in the process. They include Day 5 casualties in Adrian Mateos (Team Lucky), Ryan Hoenig (Team Chingas), Josh Reichard (Team Oz), Jesse Lonis (Team Girl Dads), Alex Livingston (Team Lang), Nacho Barbero (Team Negreanu), David “Bakes” Baker (Team Lang), Bin Weng (Team Chingas), Phil Ivey (Team Sepiol), Anson Tsang (Team Lady Gaga), Maria Ho (Team Noori), and Adam Friedman (Team Sepiol).

Here's a look at the final six $25K Fantasy players remaining in the 2024 WSOP Main Event:

Stephen Song (Team DPMC)

Stephen Song
Stephen Song is the chip leader coming into Day 6.

The chip leader coming back to Day 6 of the Main Event, Stephen Song is primed to earn big points for defending champs Team DPMC, and they desperately need it as they currently sit in 11th place with 574 points.

As for Song, he’s accounted for 91 points on the team, which puts him 51st out of the 152 players drafted. Given he cost $4 to draft, he’s put up a respectable 22.75 pts/$ and that’ll only grow depending on where he finishes in the Main Event.

Brian Rast (Team The Dinkers)

Brian Rast
Poker Hall of Famer Brian Rast

Poker Hall of Famer Brian Rast will return for Day 6 sitting 22nd in chips. He is a part of Team The Dinkers, who already hold a comfortable lead atop the $25K Fantasy leaderboard. If Rast is able to hit the field bonus, it’ll put them even further ahead.

Speaking of 22nd place, that is where Rast sits in league rankings with 156 points. Team The Dinkers paid $37 to get Rast and that gives him 4.22 pts/$.

Ren Lin (Team NGNF)

While Ren Lin is the owner of Team Lady Gaga, as a player he was actually drafted by Team NGNF for $55. He’s cashed the 2024 WSOP six times (not including the Main Event) for 86 points (1.56 pts/$), which puts him in 53rd place in league rankings. Lin will return to action 32nd in chips and start at the same table as fellow $25K Fantasy draftee Danny Tang.

Team NGNF currently sits in 13th place with 493 points, so they’ll need a strong showing from Lin if they hope to make the money in the $25K Fantasy league. That said, he’s not their only hope.

Kristen Foxen (Team NGNF)

Kristen Foxen
4-time gold bracelet winner Kristen Foxen

One of only four women remaining in the 2024 WSOP Main Event, Kristen Foxen is still in the mix, and she is also a member of Team NGNF. They paid $11 for the four-time bracelet winner, who sits in 45th place with 100 points (9.09 pts/$).

She returns to Day 6 sitting 38th in chips and will start at the same table as Brandon Cantu and Tony Dunst.

Danny Tang (Team Sternheimer)

Hong Kong’s Danny Tang will start Day 6 sitting 100th in chips and starting at the same table as Ren Lin. Drafted by Team Sternheimer for $9, Tang is 48th in the player point ranking with 93 points (10.33 pts/$).

What’s more, those points came off just two cashes – 91 points for finishing runner-up in Event #79: $50,000 High Roller PLO and 2 points for a 77th-place finish in Event #66: $10,000 PLO Championship.

Team Sternheimer currently sits second on the $25K Fantasy leaderboard and could use a super deep run from Tang if they hope to catch Team The Dinkers.

Arthur Morris (Team AJ’s Eagles)

Sitting 117th in chips returning for Day 6, Arthur Morris has a dozen cashes at the 2024 WSOP thus far, but they’ve almost all been min-cashes. That has given Team AJ’s Eagles, who paid $47 for him, a lackluster 24 points (0.51 pts/$).

That said, he has a chance to vault up the player points leaderboard – he’s currently tied in 101st place – and give Team AJ’s Eagles a chance at making the money. They currently sit in 7th place with 629 points.
