The $25K Fantasy league rolls on, and as of June 19, Team The Dinkers (Josh Kay) is still on top with 899 points, which is a good bit ahead of both Team Sternheimer (765 points) and Team Baker (673 points). Of the 19 teams, Team Chingas is on the bottom with 213 points. Check out 25Kfantasy.com to see the current standings.

PokerNews has been tracking $25K Fantasy players in our live updates and has even made it simple to follow the action by tagging all players with a $25K Fantasy badge. That allows you to utilize our chip count filter option to follow only those players (just tick the $25K Fantasy badge); what’s more, each blog will have a “$25K Fantasy” tab that if you click all you will see are hands played by $25K Fantasy players.

Check out this video to see how it all works:

As a result, we can capture some of the biggest, best, and most game-changing hands involving the $25K Fantasy roster. Here are five from the last week of action in the 2024 WSOP.

TeamLucky Makes a Royal Flush

Matt Glantz
Matt Glantz

On Day 2 of Event #46: $1,000 Seniors Championship, Matt Glantz of Team Lucky (read the story behind that here) related a wild hand to reporter Nick Becker. Glantz explained that with blinds at 2,000/4,000, the player in the hijack raised to 10,000, he flatted in the cutoff with A10, and the small blind came along for the ride as well.

It checked around to Glantz on the QJ8 flop, who bet 15,000.

"That's a good flop for my hand", Glantz excitedly mentioned, as he continued to recap the action.

The small blind then raised to 35,000 and the hijack got out of the way. Glantz said he opted for a raise to 65,000 with his flopped flush, and the small blind then decided to move all in for 240,000.

"Being the brave guy that I am," Glantz said he made the call.

The small blind was technically still alive, until the turn brought the K, giving Glantz the elusive royal flush. The meaningless 5 rolled off on the river, and Glantz scooped the pot, earning a healthy stack for TeamLucky.

Laak Makes the Super Nuts

Phil Laak

On Day 1 of Event #48: $1,000 Pot-Limit Omaha, reporter Kaitlyn Jeffers caught a good one on the very first hand after players were in the money. Phil Laak was on the button calling an all-in shove from a middle position player.

Middle Position: AQ104
Phil Laak: KQ96

The board ran out 107J5A and the table gasped and yelled, "Royal Flush!" as Laak calmly took a photo and sent his opponent to the rail.

Hunichen's Turn for a Three-Outer

On Day 3 of Event #47: $100,000 High Roller, reporter Connor Richards saw Viktor Blom opened on the button and Chris Hunichen three-bet to 10,000,000 in the big blind. Blom re-raised and Hunichen called off for 1,200,000 more.

Chris Hunichen: A6
Viktor Blom: AK

Hunichen was dominated and got no help from the 1073 flop or 8 turn. However, the river landed the 6 to send Hunichen out of his seat after securing the unlikely double. That hand helped propel Hunichen to victory for his first gold bracelet and $2.8 million in prize money.

Negreanu Makes Quad Kings to Double

On Day 1 of Event #55: $250,000 Super High Roller, it was Level 8 (15,000/25,000/25,000) when reporter Ollie Garland caught the action as Daniel Negreanu, who was on the button, was all in and at risk for his remaining 620,000, against Orpen Kisacikoglu, in the big blind.

Daniel Negreanu: KK
Orpen Kisacikoglu: AQ

The 9Q9 flop gave Kisacikoglu additional outs, however, the K turn had Kisacikoglu drawing dead. Just for good measure, the dealer placed the K on the river to give Negreanu quad kings, doubling him up.

Ivey Done in By Nasty River

Phil Ivey

On Day 3 of the same event, just 11 players remained in Level 20 (200,000/400,000/400,000) when reporter Laura Fryer witnessed action fold to Phil Ivey who raised to 800,000 from the button. Ben Tollerene called from the big blind and players went heads up to the flop.

The 1055 was dealt and Tollerene checked to Ivey who bet 600,000. Tollerene raised to 1,600,000 and Ivey moved all in for 4,175,000. Tollerene made the call and the cards were flipped.

Phil Ivey: QQ
Ben Tollerene: K10

Ivey was looking strong and held on the 3 turn.

Things took a turn for Ivey on the K river as Tollerene had hit a king out, which sent Ivey home in 11th place for $506,757.
