Montalto Doubles Through Kinkade

Vito Montalto opened the pot with a raise to 10,000. Jay Kinkade then moved all in, putting Montalto to a decision for all of his chips. Vito made the call and tabled a pocket pair of tens, happy to see that he had Kinkade's {10-Diamonds} {A-Diamonds} quite dominated.

The board filled out {K-Spades} {5-Diamonds} {J-Spades} {9-Diamonds} {9-Spades} giving Montalto a scare (Kinkade had straight and flush draws by the turn), but ultimately he took down the pot with two pair, tens and nines.

After the hand, Kinkade dropped to 30,000 in chips while Montalto improved to approximately 100,000.

Stefan Fuchs - Eliminated ($1,085)

Stefan Fuchs got it all in preflop with {9-Diamonds} {9-Spades} and was in bad shape against Reza Vakili's {A-Spades} {A-Diamonds}.

The flop all but shut the door on Fuchs. It rolled out {6-Clubs} {6-Spades} {A-Hearts}, leaving the all-in player looking for both of the last two nines in the deck. The turn and river were {5-Diamonds} and {8-Spades} though, and Stefan Fuchs is knocked out in fifth place at his table. He's in the money, taking home a check for AUD $1,085.

Khouiss Getting Busy

Jacob Chen raised from under the gun from 7,500 and Sam Khouiss made the call in the small blind.

The flop came down {A-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} and Khouiss checked to Chen who made a continuation bet of 9,000. Khouiss then moved all in for 23,000 in total and Chen folded his holding.

Khouiss is now back to 50,000 and looking dangerous as Chen slips to 40,000.

Gill Eliminated by Damm ($2,170)

Oliver Gill
Oliver Gill
A short-stacked Oliver Gill has just been eliminated from the tournament by Kenneth Damm. Gill moved all in from the small blind before the flop for his last 16,000 in chips and was called by Damm who tabled {A-Diamonds} {Q-Diamonds}; Gill was dominated with the {A-Clubs} {4-Hearts}.

The board ran out {4-Diamonds} {8-Clubs} {10-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} giving Damm an ace-high diamond flush to lock up the hand and send Gill to the rail with AUD $2,170 in prize money.

Bampton Gets Bumped

Antonis Kambouris raised to 8,500 from first position and then John Bampton reraised all in for 27,000 total. Kambouris took only a few seconds to make the call.

Showdown:
Kambouris: {9-Clubs} {9-Hearts}
Bampton: {8-Spades} {8-Clubs}

The board ran out {J-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} {4-Clubs} {6-Clubs} {Q-Diamonds} and Bampton just couldn't find the help he needed to stay alive. Kambouris' nines held true all the way until the end, eliminating Bampton from the event.

Online phenom Jay Kinkade looking good for a final table berth
Jay Kinkade raised it up to 7,500 from the cutoff as Vito Montalto defended from the small blind.

They took a flop of {10-Spades}{2-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and Montalto led out with a bet of 10,000. Kinkade made the call.

The turn and river landed {10-Hearts}, {4-Hearts} as the players checked it down. Montalto tabled {Q-Clubs}{J-Clubs} for a missed straight draw as Kinkade showed {A-Diamonds}{4-Spades} for a rivered pair of fours. A nice read from the online phenom who is now up to 90,000, with Montalto down to 70,000.
