Sabic Makes Quads to Double Up and Even Things Out

Level 28 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Alen Sabic
Alen Sabic

Alen Sabic raised to 300,000 as first to act. The action then folded to Hokyiu Lee in the big blind, who three-bet to 1,150,000.

Sabic tossed in his stack of 1,605,000 and Lee made the call to put his opponent at risk.

Alen Sabic: AKK6 All in
Hokyiu Lee: AKQ10

Sabic remained ahead on the 6310 flop, but with a pair and a flush draw, Lee had a plethora of outs.

The 6 gave his opponent trips, however, and the 6 river made Sabic four of a kind to double up.

Lee lost the chiplead for the first time since the final table had started as play continued with four relatively even stacks and the short-stacked Thomas Hueber.

Sabic needed a lot of help to crack Albeck's kings. The 4910 flop provided some assistance to Sabic. The 8 on the turn meant Sabic was one card away from elimination. However, the Q river improved Sabic to the nut straight and he had doubled up through Albeck.

Carmi was ahead with the aces, but Saliba had a lot of outs to eliminate him. The 9 turn gave Saliba the nut straight and left Carmi drawing dead as the inconsequential 5 hit the river.

Albeck Finds Aces at Crucial Moment

Level 27 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Samuel Albeck pushed in 280,000 chips on the button, leaving only 20,000 back. Alen Sabic put in the rest from the big blind and Albeck called.

Samuel Albeck: AAJ10 All in
Alen Sabic: AJ84

The K75 flop gave Sabic a gutshot straight draw and the nut flush draw to make it an even affair, but the 7 turn was of no help.

Albeck's aces held when the K river double-paired the board, and he doubled up to nine big blinds.
