Dayan Flops Best

Level 34 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

The action folded to Avraham Dayan who made it 700,000 to go on the button with {q-Spades}{j-Clubs}. Mick Heder put his big stack to work with a three-bet to 2,500,000 in the small blind with {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. Pasquale Braco picked up {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} in the big blind and laid his hand down while Dayan made the call.

The flop came {q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Spades} to give Dayan the best hand with a pair of queens. Heder slid out a bet of 1,000,000 and Dayan instantly shoved all in which got a quick fold from Heder.

After losing the big blind and big blind ante in the first hand, Alessandro Pezzoli limped the small blind next and Shaun Deeb moved all in from the big blind, Pezzoli called.

Alessandro Pezzoli: {a-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Shaun Deeb: {k-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

The {8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Hearts} flop gave Pezzoli trips fives and the {q-Spades} turn secured his double, the {7-Clubs} on the river was a formality.

It is the final day of the 2019 World Series of Poker Europe held at King's Resort in Rozvadov, Czech Republic and there are still a few questions that remain to be answered. Who will come out on top in Event #15: €550 Colossus No-Limit Hold'em? Who will finish on top in the 2019 Player of the Year race? Can one of the remaining 11 players make their dreams come true? All of those will be answered in just hours as Day 3 is set to get underway.

There will be 11 players returning to the felt with hopes of winning the final WSOP gold bracelet handed out this calendar year. There is also a cool €190,375 awaiting the winner and for nine of these players, it would be their largest career score by a long shot. Each of them has already locked up at least €12,453 but there is still plenty more to play for.

Coming into the day, Mick Heder will be leading the way with a healthy stack of 12,100,000 chips. Heder has just recently started to build his poker resume with the majority of his cashes coming in the past couple of years, including a run in the 2019 WSOP Main Event. Avraham Dayan sits in a distant second place on a stack of 8,700,00 while Shaun Deeb rounds out the top three with 8,100,000.

Speaking of Deeb, most eyes will be following his play today as he is looking to capture another Player of the Year title. The top position currently belongs to Daniel Negreanu and he will definitely be sweating the action as it unfolds. Deeb will require a fifth-place finish or better in order to overtake the number one position. The American poker pro will also be hunting down his fifth career gold bracelet.

The only other player to have previously won a WSOP title is partypoker pro Bertrand 'ElkY' Grospellier. Having become a celebrity at the online felt, Grospellier has now transitioned into the live game and mostly makes his home at King's Resort now. Grospellier has one gold bracelet to his name but would love to add another to his already stellar resume.

The cards will go in the air at 3 p.m. local time with the blinds resuming on level 34 at 125,000/250,000 and a 250,000 big blind ante. There will be two tables to kick things off but will be quickly reduced to just one table upon one further elimination. The levels will be 40 minutes in length with a 15-minute break after every three levels.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be here to bring you all of the action throughout the day on the way to an eventual winner being crowned.
