Level 10 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Nick Schulman
Nick Schulman

In a heads-up pot between the blinds, Nick Schulman checked on the flop of 5Q10 and Cary Katz bet 19,000. Schulman check-raised for most of his stack and Katz three-bet to put the recent Seven Card Stud Championship winner at risk. Schulman called.

Nick Schulman: KJ75
Cary Katz: KQJ9

"I'm in bad shape," Katz said despite having the best hand as the 2 landed on the turn.

"Now you're in really bad shape," Schulman said after making the flush before the A river earned him the double.

"You run so f***ing pure," Katz said to Schulman as the four-time bracelet winner raked in the pot.

Wang and Kashat Lead the Way

Level 10 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Just before their table broke, Mark Berente bet the A1097 turn for 15,000. Firas Kashat raised the pot by tossing in multiple T-25,000 chips and then tried to goad Berente into a call. The Hungarian, however, folded and Kashat exposed his A2 before racking up his massive stack.

Yang Wang knocked out James Cavanaugh to also jump to a seven-figure stack as well.

Lehr Punishes the Limpers

Level 10 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Gary Benson raised to 4,000 and received multiple callers, before Keith Lehr raised the pot to 28,000 out of the small blind. While Mosley was in the tank, Lehr predicted that only Negreanu would call and then "we go from there".

When Mosley mucked his cards high, Lehr caught a red paint card and Mosley confirmed it was the Q. Negreanu called, as did Ka Kwan Lau on the button. Lehr potted the KQ5 flop and earned two folds.

"I folded king-queen-ten-eight double suit," Mosley added in table chat.
