Cates Committed to the Character

Level 1
Dan Terminator Cates
Dan Terminator Cates

Omaha Hi-Lo

As mentioned, Dan Cates is dressed as The Terminator for Day 1, and is committed to the character not just in dress, but in action as well, extending his arm robotically and dropping his chips in when he bets, and pounding the table forcefully with his fist when he checks.

He methodically gathered half of the pot recently when he and Brian Yoon split an Omaha hi-lo hand.

The chip dropping could become a problem in the big bet games if he has to drop multiple chips at a time.

Dan Terminator Cates
Dan Terminator Cates

Two-time defending champion Dan "Jungleman" Cates has made his entrance as he looks to continue his historic run with a third consecutive victory in the $50,000 Poker Players Championship.

Cates, who last year won the PPC dressed as "Macho Man" Randy Savage, arrived this year wearing a Terminator costume consisting of face paint, sunglasses, fingerless gloves and a leather jacket decorated with blue studs.

"Oh boy!" Negreanu said as he vlogged the arrival of Cates, who did not break character as he took a seat next to the Poker Hall of Famer.
