Depaulo and Liberto Off to the Races

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 120 ante
Ryan Depaulo
Ryan Depaulo

Justin "cheersfive" Liberto opened for 3,215 from the hijack and was met by an all-in three-bet for 14,682 from Ryan "Joeyisamush" Depaulo in the cutoff. The rest of the players folded and it was off to the races.

Justin "cheersfive" Liberto: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}
Ryan "Joeyisamush" Depaulo: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}

Depaulo, who won an online bracelet over the summer, was looking to improve and did just that when the {9-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{8-Hearts} flop paired his ace.

The {7-Hearts} turn gave Liberto a gutshot straight draw, but the {a-Hearts} river wound up improving Depaulo to trips to score the double.

Laplante Tripped Up By Furey

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 120 ante
Ryan Laplante
Ryan Laplante

Andrew "SheriffGary" Smith raised to 2,750 and Charles "sevenstars" Furey called from the hijack. Ryan "Protential" Laplante came along from the big blind and it was three-way action to a {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop, which the trio checked.

On the {10-Spades} turn, Laplante checked, Smith bet 3,900, and Furey called. Laplante then woke up with a check-raise to 24,420, Smith folded, and Furey called.

After the {3-Diamonds} completed the board on the river, Laplante bet 39,690 and Furey wasted little time in making the call.

Laplante showed the {j-Spades}{9-Diamonds} for trip jacks but it was no good as Furey had a boat with his {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}.
