Bach Takes From Bleznick

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

In a min-raised battle of the blinds with David Bach in the small blind and Jared Bleznick in the big blind, each drew one and Bach bet, Bleznick called.

Bach then stood pat and Bleznick drew one. Bach bet and Bleznick raised, which Bach reluctantly called. The final draw was patted by Bach and Bleznick drew one. Both checked and Bach had the winner with {8-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{3-}.

Hanh Tran Eliminated in 7th Place ($13,593)

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante
Hanh Tran
Hanh Tran

Aron Dermer opened with a raise from the hijack and action folded to Hanh Tran in the big blind, who called all in for around his last 43,000. Tran drew two and Dermer one on the first draw. On the second and third draws, Tran drew one and Dermer stood pat.

Aron Dermer: {8-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-}
Hanh Tran: {7-}{5-}{4-}{3-} / {8-}

Tran was in need of a deuce and only a deuce to improve to a wheel and stay alive. Unfortunately for him, his run at back-to-back titles fell short as he turned over an eight and made an eighty-seven, not good enough to best Dermer's eighty-five.

Campbell Pairs, Bleznick Hits

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

Jared Bleznick opened from the hijack and received a call from Robert Campbell who defended his big blind. Campbell took two cards on the first draw and Bleznick three and Campbell led out after. Bleznick made the call and second draws went one and three. Campbell then fired again and Bleznick made the call. Each player took one card on the final draw and Campbell bet for a third time. Bleznick looked at the card he drew and put chips in to call.

Campbell tabled {8-}{8-}{6-}{4-}{2-} having made a pair and Bleznick quickly turned over his five cards, {8-}{7-}{4-}{3-}{2-} having again drawn to a winning hand and added to his stack.

Campbell Dominates; Tran Very Short

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante

Kyle Miaso raised in the cutoff and Hanh Tran defended in the big blind. They each drew one and checked before doing so again on the next draw. Again no betting action took place and both players received one new card each. Tran checked and folded to a bet of Miaso.

Aron Dermer raised and called a three-bet by Robert Campbell on the button. Campbell stood pat and Dermer took one. Dermer check-called a bet and did so again after taking one in the second draw, while Campbell stood pat. Dermer checked and this time let go when facing another bet.

Last but not least, Dermer folded after the last draw when facing a third barrel of Jared Bleznick to give up yet another pot.

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 0 ante
Jesse Hampton
Jesse Hampton

Hanh Tran opened from middle position and was three-bet by Jared Bleznick in the cutoff. Jesse Hampton cold-called from the big blind and Tran put in a fourth bet. Both Bleznick and Hampton called. The first and second draws both went one, pat, one with Tran betting and being called by both players upon being checked to. The final draw again went one, pat, one and Hampton led out on the end. Tran called and Bleznick looked at his hand and shook his head before folding.

Hampton tabled {7-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-} and Hanh shook his head in disbelief as he had been dealt a pat eight that was no longer any good.
