Foxen Forces a Fold

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

The board read {10-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{j-Clubs} with almost 10,000 in the middle already.

Martin Kozlov had checked from under the gun and Alex Foxen, fresh from his 12th place cash in Event #8 $10,000 Short Deck No Limit Hold'em Event, took some time before betting 11,300. Kozlov considered his options for a while before deciding to let his hand go.

Pavel Plesuv

Pavel Plesuv just doubled up when all his chips went in on the {5-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{10-Spades}{5-Clubs}{q-Hearts} board from the big blind and he was called by the player in the hijack. Plesuv's had flopped a set with {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} and improved to a full house on the river to double up.

Three-bet Shove Power From Vieira

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante

Joao Vieira was involved in a big pot of about 25,000 with Shun Tsukuda on a flop that read {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Clubs}.

Vieira bet 9,300. Tsukuda took his time before raising to 30,000. Vieira wasted little time three-bet shoving all-in for his stack. The dealer counted out 43,300 for the shove amount after a count request by Tsukuda, who then went deep into the tank.

After a few minutes, another player at the table called the clock on Tsukuda, but before the floor could arrive Tsukuda ditched his cards to send a huge pot Vieira's way.

Kitsios Doubles Shortly Before Break

Level 5 : 300/500, 500 ante
Georgios Kitsios
Georgios Kitsios

As the rest of the players funneled out for the break, Georgios Kitsios and James Chen were the only two in the room still playing, brewing a big hand on a flop that read {10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}.

Kitsios moved all in for his remaining 28,800 and Chen made a fairly quick call.

"You have set again?" asked Kitsios as he showed the {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}. "No but I have way too much equity" replied Chen as he turned over the {9-Diamonds}{10-Spades}.

But that equity would not be realized as the turn was the {4-Spades} and the river the {5-Clubs}.

Kitsios will no doubt enjoy the break more now that he secured a huge double up.

Garcia Eliminated by Spinella

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante

Cord Garcia was all-in for his last 2,500 from the cutoff and called by Kyriakos Papadopoulos and Anthony Spinella in the blinds.

The flop came {9-Spades}{a-Spades}{8-Clubs}, Papadopoulos bet 2,700 and Spinella called.

The turn was the {4-Diamonds}, Papadopoulos check-folded to the 5,000 bet of Spinella.

Cord Garcia: {2-Spades}{2-Clubs}
Anthony Spinella: {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

Garcia needed a deuce on the river as Spinella had flopped two pair but the {q-Hearts} wasn't what he needed. Garcia was sent home just before the break.

Davies Pays Czuczor's Nut Flush

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante

From middle position Seth Davies bet 3,000 on the turn on a board that read {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}{8-Spades}{9-Spades}. Marton Czuczor was his opponent in the hijack and he raised to 7,500, which Davies called.

The river brought the {j-Diamonds}. Davies checked it over to Czuczor, who put in a bet of 12,000. Davies did not look happy with the situation and stewed over the decision for several moments before eventually flipping in a call.

Czuczor immediately revealed the bad news to Davies when he unveiled the {a-Spades}{j-Spades} for the nut flush. Clearly agitated at his decision, Davies tossed his cards into the muck and shook his head.
