Cosby Takes One Down

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante
Sam Cosby
Sam Cosby

The player in mid-position raised to 1,100 and Samuel Cosby three-bet to 3,400 from the hijack. Action folded back to the initial raiser who shoved for around 14,000 which Cosby quickly called.

Initial Raiser: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Samuel Cosby: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

The board ran out {j-Hearts}{a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for Cosby to flop a set and hold on to the lead throughout the board to eliminate his opponent.

Over on the other tables, Rainer Kempe and Igor Yaroshevskyy were also eliminated.

Tsukuda's Queens Get Paid

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante

Japan's Shun Tsukuda was in a building pot of 39,500 with his opponent on a board that read {10-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}. After a bet and call was collected into the pot, the river came the {5-Clubs}.

Tsukuda was first to act from the small blind and thought for a few moments before shoving his remaining 25,000 all-in, which covered his opponent who made a fairly quick call.

Tsukuda hesitated a bit and turned over the {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}, which bested the {j-Spades}{j-Clubs} of his opponent. Tsukuda collected the large pot with a smile on his face

Boivin Defends His Big Blind

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante

Thomas Boivin was sitting on a significantly bigger stack than earlier and was kind enough to relate what had happened:

Boivin had defended his big blind with {5-}{3-} after an opponent had bet four times the big blind. The flop came {a-}{10-}{2-}, with Boivin check-calling his opponent's half pot bet.

The turn was the perfect offsuit {4-} to give Boivin the wheel. Boivin check-raised his opponent's bet and was called. The river was a {q-}, Boivin bet the pot and his opponent called to give Boivin a nice little pot to scoop.

Deadman Busts Agarwal With River Call

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante
Simon Deadman
Simon Deadman

A large pot of at least 35,000 was in the middle with the board reading {8-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{k-Hearts}. Aditya Agarwal was on the button and moved all in for his remaining 18,000.

Simon Deadman, who was in the big blind, went deep into the tank to assess the hand. After a couple of minutes of thinking he apologized to the table for taking a while; "Sorry guys, I'm just thinking this one through".

With a pained look on his face, Deadman eventually made the call. Agarwal turned over the {8-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for a weak pair and Deadman flipped over his overpair the {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} to leave Agarwal with no chips.

Sitbon Gets the Fold

Level 3 : 100/300, 300 ante

Julien Sitbon raised to 800 from the button and the player in the big blind three-bet to 3,100 which Sitbon called.

They both checked through the {5-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} on the flop and the {4-Spades} on the turn to the {j-Hearts} on the river. The big blind checked again and now Sitbon bet 3,800 which was enough to make his opponent fold.
