Hand #25: Dyer Pulls Further Away At the Top

Level 36 : 300,000/600,000, 100,000 ante
Michael Dyer
Michael Dyer

Hand #25: Nicolas Manion raised it up to 1,500,000 from early position and Michael Dyer three-bet to 3,725,000 in the hijack. Manion called and the flop fell {J-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts}, which brought a check from Manion and a continuation bet worth 2,825,000 by Dyer. Manion called and a pot of almost 15 million emerged.

On the {K-Clubs} turn, Manion checked once more and faced a second barrel for 4,350,000 of Dyer, Manion called. The {8-Diamonds} fell on the river and Manion checked for the third street in a row. Dyer made it 6,450,000 to go and Manion gave it some thought before announcing the call.

Dyer showed the {A-Hearts}{K-Spades} for top pair and top kicker, and that won the biggest pot of the day so far, propelling Dyer into a commanding lead.

Hands #23-24: Cada and Miles Chop One Up

Level 36 : 300,000/600,000, 100,000 ante
Tony Miles
Tony Miles

Hand #23: Aram Zobian raised to 1,300,000 from the cutoff and Joe Cada three-bet shoved all in from the small blind for 13,100,000 effective. Both Artem Metalidi in the big blind and Zobian quickly tossed their cards to the muck.

Hand #24: Tony Miles opened to 1,350,000 from early position and Cada reraised to 4,100,000 on the button. Miles stuck in a four-bet to 11,500,000 and Cada five-bet all in. Miles instantly called for a total of 35,800,000.

Tony Miles: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}
Joe Cada: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

After the flop of {5-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Clubs}, it was an inevitable chop between the two players. The {j-Clubs} on the turn and the {7-Hearts} on the river were just a formality and the two players chopped the pot.

Hands #21-22: Cada Takes From Metalidi

Level 36 : 300,000/600,000, 100,000 ante

Hand #21: Michael Dyer received a walk in the big blind.

Hand #22: Artem Metalidi raised to 1,300,000 from the under-the-gun position and Joe Cada called out of the big blind. On a flop of {10-Hearts}{7-Spades}{3-Hearts}, Cada checked and Metalidi made it 1,200,000 to go. Cada came along and the duo headed to the {8-Diamonds} turn, which brought no betting action.

The {4-Spades} fell on the river and Cada bet 3,200,000. Metalidi spent a long time in the think tank and called. Cada showed {J-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and won the pot, who almost doubled his stack throughout the day so far.

Hands #14-15: Dyer and Cynn Chip Up

Level 36 : 300,000/600,000, 100,000 ante

Hand #14: Nicolas Manion raised to 1,400,000 from the hijack and Michael Dyer came along from the button. The flop came {K-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and Manion continued for 1,800,000, Dyer quickly called and they headed to the {5-Hearts} turn.

Manion now slowed down and checked, and Dyer bet 2,350,000. That was all it took to claim the hand right there, as Manion tossed his cards into the muck.

After the hand, the chants came from all corners of the Thunderdome and even the wave went through the crowd.

Hand #15: First to act, John Cynn raised to 1,300,000 and Artem Metalidi called out of the big blind. The flop fell {J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} and Metalidi checked, Cynn continued for 1,400,000 and Metalidi gave it some thought before throwing in calling chips. On the {K-Clubs} turn, Metalidi checked again and Cynn now made it 2,200,000 to go.

That sent Metalidi into the think tank, and he needed more than two minutes before opting to fold.
