Esfandiari Builds Stack

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Over on the secondary feature table, Antonio Esfandiari raised to 10,000 and Lars Gronning called. Gronning check-called bets of 8,500 on the {Q-Spades}{J-Clubs}{10-Clubs} flop and 14,500 on the {3-Hearts} turn. The {J-Hearts} fell on the river and Gronning check-called another 38,500 before mucking immediately when Esfandiari rolled over the {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} for a straight.

Over on the outer table, Yoon Kim and Daniel Tang tangled in a bigger pot and the board showed {K-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{4-Spades}. Kim checked and Tang made it 69,000 to go. Eventually, the clock was called on Kim and he folded after being given 30 seconds to make a decision.

Action folded around to Lauren Kling in the cutoff and she jammed for 37,500. After verifying the bet, the big blind called to put Kling at risk.

Lauren Kling: {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}
Big blind: {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs}

Kling had the advantage with the bigger of the two pocket pairs and the big blind needed to improve to stack her. The board ran out {8-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and Kling took the pot with fives full of jacks to double up.

Bernabeu Takes from Kelsall

Level 14 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

The action was folded around to Andrew Kelsall in the small blind who raised it up to 13,000. Samuel Bernabeu called from the big blind and the dealer fanned a flop of {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}.

Both players checked to the {8-Hearts} on the turn and Kelsall led out for 12,500. Bernabeu called and the {k-Hearts} completed the board. Kelsall fired another 27,000 and Bernabeu thought for a minute before calling. Kelsall tossed his cards to the muck and Bernabeu didn't have to show his cards to be awarded the pot.
