Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Darren Elias
Darren Elias

Following an open to 5,000, Amal Bounahra called on the button before the action turns to Darren Elias in the big blind.

Elias splashes out a three-bet to 22,000, and both the original raiser and Bounahra fold.

As Elias gathered the pot, 2010 WSOP World Champion Jonathan Duhamel joined the table

Marsico and Saltus Lead Amazon Tan Section

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Anthony Marsico and Brian Saltus are the current chip leaders in the Amazon Tan section, while Ashton Griffin was just eliminated by Patrik Antonius. On the rise on the very same table is Aurelie Reard, who chipped up early thanks to sending a shorter stack to the rail with pocket queens versus {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, Reard immediately flopped a full house.

Kassouf Folds to Kings

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
William Kassouf
William Kassouf

Action folded to the player on the button, he raised to 5,500, and William Kassouf called from the big blind.

The flop came {J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Kassouf checked. The button bet 6,000 and Kassouf folded.

"You got lucky. Show one?" Kassouf asked as the dealer pushed the pot to the button.

The button slid both of his cards face-down to Kassouf for him to look at. Kassouf peeked at both and then held the {K-Clubs} up for the table to see.

"He bluffed me with this," Kassouf said before he flashed the button's other card, the {K-Hearts}.

Alaei Wins a Big Flip

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

After a raise from under the gun, Daniel Alaei three-bet in middle position and the action folded back to the initial raiser. He moved all in and Alaei called, having him slightly covered.

Daniel Alaei: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Opponent: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

It was a coin flip with Alaei needed to hit the board. The flop came {6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{2-Clubs} and the pocket tens were still in the lead. The turn was the {j-Diamonds} and the river brought the {a-Clubs}. Alaei spiked an ace on the river to eliminate his opponent much to the amazement of Antonio Esfandiari.

"It's just that easy for some people," Esfandiari said as Alaei dragged in a healthy pot.

Wang Gives Up On the Flop

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

There was a raise on the button to what looked like 10,000 before Mike Wang made it 33,000 from the small blind. Action folded back to the button player who called.

The flop came down {A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{4-Spades} and Wang quickly checked then folded to a bet of 30,000 from his opponent. After losing the pot, Wang dropped to just under 150,000 chips.

Second Break of the Day

Level 12 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

The field size on Day 3 has been reduced to fewer than 2,000 hopefuls with 1,979 players still in contention according to the screens. They have been sent off into their second 20-minute break of the day, and some players may end up getting a minute or two fewer with the ongoing chip race of the T-100 denominations.
