Loosli Wins on the Turn

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

With about 35,000 in the pot, Sylvain Loosli was on the button on the {8-Spades}{J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{7-Hearts} turn. His opponent checked in early position and Loosli fired 22,000. A two-minute tank followed and the under-the-gun player then double-checked his hand and folded.

Shahade Rivers Inferior Set

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

We arrived when the river card completed the {2-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{Q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} board and Jennifer Shahade faced a bet of 5,600 from a player in the small blind. Shahade took over a minute, eyed her opponent's stack and then finally tossed in a 17,000-raise. Shahade received a quick call so she rolled over {5-Spades}{5-Hearts} for a rivered set but her rival turned up {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}. Shahade observed that her set was no good and mucked her hand.

Lovgren Wins With River Bet

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

The action was opened with a raise to 2,600 from the player under the gun, and Sofia Lovgren called in the next seat. The rest of the table folded and they were heads-up to the {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop. The initial raiser checked, and Lovgren bet 3,600 which was called.

Both players checked on the {j-Diamonds} turn, and when the {j-Clubs} hit the river, Lovgren's opponent check-folded an 8,000 bet which allowed the Swedish 888poker ambassador to swoop the pot.

Brown Eliminates Hof

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Natalie Hof
Natalie Hof

Andrew Brown is on an elimination spree. Right after eliminating one of his opponents, he did the same to 888poker ambassador Natalie Hof.

Hof pushed her last 13,000 all in and when the action folded to Brown in the small blind he grabbed a load of 5,000 chips and splashed them in the middle. Brown had about half of his stack in the middle and still had a player behind him to act.

"Don't do it man, don't do it."

The player in the big blind didn't do it and Brown and Hof opened up their hands.

Natalie Hof: {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}
Andrew Brown: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}

The board ran out {K-Spades}{2-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Hof was eliminated by Brown.

Geilich Leads in the Brasilia Room

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante
Ludovic Geilich
Ludovic Geilich

Ludovic Geilich was cruising above the 300,000 mark but has just recently surpassed the next milestone. On a completed board reading {q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{6-Hearts}, Geilich pushed in a bet of 125,000 into a pot of around 80,000. It was more than enough to put his opponent to the test for his remaining 100,000 chips and he eventually folded. Geilich scooped the pot and has now passed the 400,000 chip mark, leading the entire Brasilia Room.

Bardah Calls Himmelbrand's Holding, Calls Anyway

Level 9 : 600/1,200, 200 ante

Ronnie Bardah was in the cutoff and check-called 12,500 from Greg Himmelbrand on {5-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{a-Hearts}. The river brought a {5-Diamonds} and Bardah checked. Himmelbrand bet 15,000.

"Ace-nine of diamonds, huh?" Bardah said.

Himmelbrand smiled and double-checked his holding while Bardah continued to talk, muttering to himself or to Himmelbrand, we couldn't tell which. He even asked the dealer something, which made her smile and Himmelbrand laugh. Finally, Bardah splashed in a call, and sure enough, Himmelbrand opened {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}.
