Talbot Drops Some

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Parker Talbot opened from middle position with a raise to 2,300 and action folded around to the big blind where the player there reraised, making it 8,000. Talbot called and the two headed to a flop.

The flop was {A-Clubs}{10-Spades}{3-Clubs} and both players checked to see the {A-Spades} on the turn. There, the big blind led out with a bet of 6,000. Talbot called.

The river was the {7-Diamonds} and the player in the big blind bet 8,000. Talbot rolled his eyes called one more time.

"Pocket queens," the player said. He showed his {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} and it was good as Talbot tossed his cards face down into the muck.

Davidoff Makes Them Fold

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Tim Reilly limped from late position and one seat over it was Mark Davidoff who raised to 3,800. The player in the big blind called as well and they went three-way to a flop.

The flop came down {9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and they checked to Davidoff. He put in a bet of 4,800 and both the player in the big blind and Reilly took their time to call.

The turn was the {K-Hearts} and it checked to Davidoff for the second time. This time he put in a bet of 7,800 and the player in the big blind went into the tank. After about three minutes he called and Reilly folded his hand.

The {J-Spades} river was added to the board and the player in the big blind checked a third time. Davidoff bet 17,000 and the player in the big blind made up his mind a lot faster than on the previous street by throwing his cards in the muck.

Michael Ruane
Michael Ruane

Michael Ruane was in the cutoff, firing 3,000 on the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{A-Spades}{10-Diamonds} turn when we arrived. A player in the big blind called and the {10-Hearts} completed the board. Ruane tried to steal the pot for one last time, betting 10,000 but he received another check-call. Ruane opened {J-Spades}{9-Spades} and his opponent took it down with {A-Clubs}{2-Spades}.

Soika Fades a Queen to Double

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

Ihar Soika checked out of the big blind with the turn reading {Q-Spades}{9-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. His opponent fired 8,600 and Soika paused before check-raising to 22,500. His opponent jammed for an effective 48,100 and Soika snap-called with {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}. While his tournament life was on the line, Soika was in good shape against {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} as he only needed to fade a queen on the river. He did so when the {A-Hearts} landed.

Assorted Counts from Amazon Orange

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

An under-the-gun raise was called by Andre Krieger and big stack Matthew Klapstein in the big blind. The {9-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop was checked to Krieger and his bet of 3,000 won the pot. Krieger has been able to build his stack since coming back from dinner while Thi Nguyen departed from that very same table.

Timsohenko Takes It on the River

Level 8 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

There was a raise to 2,400 from under the gun and three players called including Yevgeniy Timoshenko in the big blind. The flop fell {q-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and the action checked to the cutoff who bet 3,500. Timoshenko was the only player to call as they went heads-up to the {k-Clubs} on the turn.

Both players checked and the {10-Hearts} came on the river. Timoshenko thought for a minute and then tossed in 20,000, enough to cover his opponent's stack of around 17,000. His opponent sent his cards to the muck and Timoshenko raked in the pot.

Natalie Hof
Natalie Hof

888poker ambassador Natalie Hof was down to just 9,400 moments ago, but she has been able to find a double up courtesy of three eights.

Her opponent raised to 2,200 in middle position, and she moved all in from the cutoff. The initial raiser allowed himself 30 seconds of thought before he made the call.

Natalie Hof: {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Opponent: {4-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

Board: {8-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{a-Spades}

Hof hit a set with her pocket eights and pointed to see 888poker ambassadors badge and smiled as she swooped the pot to survive.
