Full House vs Quads

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Joshua Abady raised to 1,800. Robert Formella called in the hijack and Norberto Santamaria called on the button. The big blind also called and the four players saw a flop of {a-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}. It checked to Formella who bet 7,500. Santamaria called and the other two players both folded.

The turn was the {a-Clubs} and Formella bet 18,000. Santamaria called. The river was the {5-Hearts} and Formella moved all in and Santamaria called for his last 32,700.

Robert Formella: {a-}{q-}
Norberto Santamaria: {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}

Santamaria had flopped quads and had gotten paid by the full house of Formella.

Rozas Sends One Home

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

David Rozas eliminated a player after getting it all in on the turn. His opponent was drawing dead and was already packing up before the river card was dealt.

Rozas was holding {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} on an {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{6-Clubs} board and his opponent had {K-Hearts}{J-Clubs} for Broadway and a flush draw. The river was the inconsequential {A-Hearts} and Rozas is now right around the 100,000 chip mark.

East Coast Gone

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

"East Coast" Mike Ross squeeze-shoved for 27,300 in middle position and a player in the cutoff cold called. The other players got out of the way.

Ross tabled {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} and needed some help against {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}. The board of {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{J-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} didn't give him anything and Ross walked away out of the room.

Mcdonald Busts in Three-Way All In

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Two players were all in and at risk and Yifu He had them covered and turned over the best hand in {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds}. Aditya Prasetyo had {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and Richard Mcdonald was the shortest stack with the {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}. The board came {K-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and Prasetyo got there with a flush to more than double and eliminate Mcdonald.

Margereson Eliminates Pauli

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Scott Margereson sat in the small blind and it folded to him. In the big blind sat Sebastian Pauli with just 10,000 left and Margereson pushed all in to put pressure on Pauli. Pauli checked one card and went on to peel the second card and he instantly called when he saw he had {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}.

Margereson tabled {K-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and was in rough shape against Pauli.

The flop was {8-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and it was going to be an even tougher task for Margereson to win the hand, but the {J-Clubs} turn gave some hope. The river was the {10-Clubs} and Margereson hit one of his outs and with that, he eliminated Pauli from the Main Event.

Grapenthien Lets One Go

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

With around 6,000 in the middle, Matt Grapenthien was heads-up with Quang Vu who was sitting directly on his right. The dealer spread the flop of {9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and Vu checked to Grapenthien who bet 3,200. Vu called and the {8-Clubs} landed on the turn.

Vu checked again and Grapenthien tossed in a bet of 5,600 with four cards to a straight on the board. Vu check-raised to 16,500 and Grapenthien sent his cards to the muck almost instantly. After taking another hit to his stack, Grapenthien has fallen to around a 30 big-blind stack.

Hegele Making Moves for Another Deep Run

Level 7 : 400/800, 100 ante

Robin Hegele came up a few days short of a dream run in 2017 when he finished 27th in the WSOP Main Event.

Hegel returned for Day 2 with 39,000 and did lose about half of his stack before getting some back in a recent pot.

With about 8,000 in the middle and a three-way board reading {7-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}, the player in the big blind bet 5,000 and Hegele shoved for 15,500. The player on the button went into the tank and eventually folded when once again, the clock was needed for this player.

The player in the big blind would fold as well and Hegele was pushed the pot.
