Straight is Good for Simunic

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

Josip Simunic raised to 900 from late position and Luciano Hollanda called from the button. The player in the big blind called as well and they went three-way to a flop.

The flop was {J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and Simunic bet out 1,600. Hollanda called but the player in the big blind folded. The turn was the {7-Hearts} and Simunic checked this time. Hollanda took over the initiative by betting 3,000. Simunic called to see the {2-Hearts} river complete the board.

Simunic checked to Hollanda and he checked behind this time. Simunic announced he had a straight and Hollanda nodded to let Simunic know that he had him beat. Simunic opened up {Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} and raked in the pot.

Markholt Takes From Metalidi

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

After a raise and three-bet preflop, Lee Markholt continued out of the big blind on a heads-up flop of {9-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, making it 4,000 to go. His sole remaining opponent was Artem Metalidi in early position, who called.

The {2-Spades} turn went check, check, and the {4-Clubs} on the river brought a bet of 6,000 by Markholt. That was enough to avoid a showdown, as Metalidi sent his cards into the muck.

Whittington Loses to Martinez

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

Danny Martinez raised to 1,600 from early position and was called by Alexandra Janikova in the cutoff and Blake Whittington in the big blind.

The flop came {10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} and Whittington checked. Martinez continued with a bet of 3,500. Janikova folded and Whittington called.

The turn brought them the {8-Hearts}, Whittington now bet 7,500 and Martinez called.

The river completed the board with the {k-Spades}, Whittington fired another 8,200 over the line and Martinez called without hesitation. Whittington tabled {j-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for the turned two pair. Martinez flipped over {k-Clubs} first and a second or two later, the {k-Hearts} for the rivered set of kings. Immediately after the hand, the table got told to bag up their chips as the whole table would be moved to the Amazon room.

Berger Doubles Through Wong

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

Tuan Le raised to 1,300 from the hijack and Ying Wong re-raised to 3,800 from the cutoff. Christopher Berger called from the button and it folded back to Le who called. They went three handed to the {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} flop and it checked to Berger who bet 6,000.

Le quickly folded and Wong check-raised to 15,000. Berger moved all in for 32,525, Wong called and the hands were shown.

Christopher Berger: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Ying Wong: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}

The dealer burned and turned the {5-Diamonds} and Berger improved to the nut flush to take the lead. The {2-Clubs} river card was no help to Wong and Berger earned the pot and the double up.
