Frasca Loses Some More

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

Brian Frasca was pretty quick with building a stack earlier, but it doesn't seem to be going that easily anymore. Frasca raised to 1,000 from the button and the player in the small blind called. Joe McKeehen folded his big blind and they went heads-up to the flop.

The flop was {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}, and after a check by the player in the small blind, Frasca bet 900. The bet was called and the {10-Hearts} was added to the board. It checked to Frasca again and this time he bet 2,200. The player in the small blind decided to raise the bet to 7,200 and Frasca threw his hand in the muck.

Frasca is still sitting pretty on a stack that is almost 2.5 times the starting stack.

Vu is Out-Flopped By Lybaert

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

There was a raise of 1,000 from an under-the-gun opponent, Don Vu three-bet to 4,000 from early position, and Bart Lybaert four-bet to 10,000 from late position.

The initial raiser folded and Vu made the call. The flop fell {q-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts} and Vu checked to Lybaert who bet 2,500. Vu raised to 5,000 and Lybaert made the call.

The turn fell the {7-Spades} and Vu moved all in for 12,500, Lybaert snap-called. The players turned over their hands. Vu tabled {2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for a flopped three of a kind and Lybaert showed {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for a flopped full house.

The {4-Diamonds} on the river was a brick and Lybaert took down the pot, eliminating Vu in the process.

Fraser Eliminates Rast Flush Over Flush

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante
Brian Rast and Chris Fraser
Brian Rast and Chris Fraser

Chris Fraser just won a monster pot and eliminated Brian Rast in the process and Fraser filled us in on what transpired. Brian Rast raised to 1,000 from the button and Fraser reraised to 3,200 from the button.

Rast called and they went heads-up to a flop that was all low cards with two hearts. Fraser led out with a bet, Rast called, and the dealer put a third heart on the turn.

Fraser checked, Rast bet 6,000, and Fraser check-raised to 15,000. With the action back on Rast, he made at it 30,000 and Fraser moved all in, covering Rast who had about 40,000 behind. Rast called, turning over his {k-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for the second-nut flush, but Fraser had turned the nut flush with {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}.

Rast was sent to the rail and Fraser vaulted to the top of the chip counts.

Alec Torelli and Bruce Russell

A three-bet pot to the {6-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades} flop resulted in the check of Alec Torelli in the cutoff and Bruce Russell made it 2,800 to go from one seat over on the button. Torelli called and checked again the {J-Hearts} on the turn. Russell made it 4,800 to go and Torelli gave it brief consideration before sending his cards into the muck.

"You want to see? Aces are good," Russell said to the player in the four seat and further built his growing tower of chips. Other notables that have increased their stacks recently include Randall Emmett, Marius Pospiech, and Per Hildebrand.

Martinez Doubles Through Seidel

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante
Erik Seidel
Erik Seidel

There was already a flop on the board in the form of {7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} as Diego Martinez checked to Scotty Nguyen. Nguyen put in a bet of 2,500 and Erik Seidel called. Martinez raised to 7,000 and Nguyen had a tough decision. He took his time but decided to fold. Seidel three-bet to 20,000 after asking how much Martinez had behind and Martinez pushed all in for 37,000. Seidel called and saw the bad news when he tabled {4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and he asked if Martinez had sevens. Martinez responded with a "yes" and he opened up {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}.

The {K-Diamonds} turn and {2-Spades} river completed the board and Martinez caught a big double-up, while Seidel received big setback.

Zajmovic Takes a Pot

Level 4 : 200/400, 50 ante

A player in early position limped in and the player in the hijack raised to 1,500. Ema Zajmovic called from the small blind and the big blind called. The early-position player called and they went four-handed to the {q-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs} flop.

The action checked around and the dealer burned and turned the {j-Hearts}. It checked to the early-position player who bet 3,100 and only Zajmovic called. Both players checked the {2-Diamonds} river card and the cards were shown.

Zajmovic showed {a-Clubs}{j-Spades} for jacks and threes with an ace kicker and her opponent flashed his {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} before throwing his hand away.
