NL 2-7 Single Draw

Jeff Lisandro was in a battle of blinds against Ryan Hughes who made it 26,000 in the big. Lisandro, however, fired back with a huge raise to 105,000. Hughes paused for a while and then called.

They drew one each and the final round was checked.

Lisandro showed that he paired sevens {7-}{7-}{X-}{X-}{X-} while Hughes rolled over an eight to scoop the giant pot and approach the 400,000-chip mark.

Deeb on Fumes

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 1,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha

Shaun Deeb lost most of his chips with an inferior wrap, {k-}{10-}{9-} against {a-}{k-}{10-} of Jeremy Harkin on a flop that was queen-jack-high. They checked river and Deeb lost to a pair of threes.

Left with crumbs, Deeb called an open to 4,800 from Daniel Weinman and big blind Shiva Dudani came along. They saw a {10-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{k-Spades} flop and Deeb jammed for 13,600. Weinman called with {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs} but Deeb came out on top with {k-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades}, making a better flush after the {6-Hearts} turn and {7-Clubs} river.

Lisandro Finds a Double

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 1,000 ante

Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo

Dario Sammartino raised to 6,500 in the first position and Jeff Lisandro potted out of the small blind. Sammartino called the extra 16,000 and they saw the {5-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} hit the felt.

Within a few seconds, Lisandro announced a pot, Sammartino moved all in and Lisandro called so the cards were turned up.

Lisandro: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}
Sammartino: {A-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{X-}

Lisandro's hand prevailed on the {Q-Diamonds} turn and {10-Spades} river and his stack was counted at 73,200 total. Sammartino cut out the chips and sent them to his opponent. Lisandro and Sammartino are now almost tied in chips.

Rogers Pulls Off a Big Check-Raise

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 1,000 ante

NL Five-Card Draw

We caught the action after the draw and Dario Sammartino was on the button, firing 24,000. He was up against small blind Aaron Rogers who countered with a check-raise, making it 70,000.

Sammartino studied his opponent for quite some time but then he grabbed his cards, double checked his holdings and threw them into the muck with a high velocity, shaking his head in frustration.

Mirzikinian Takes All But Crumbs from Hennigan

Level 16 : 2,000/4,000, 1,000 ante

PL 2-7 Triple Draw

John Hennigan potted for 50,800 after the first draw out of the small blind and Warwick Mirzikinian slid in a call. Each player drew one and they got the rest in for Mirzikinian's 103,000. Hennigan drew again but his opponent was pat.

Mirzikinian showed {8-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{3-} and Hennigan had a live draw to {8-}{6-}{4-}{2-}. He flipped over a {9-} and sent all but his last 4,500 to his neighbor.

Hennigan Doubles Through Henson

Level 17 : 2,500/5,000, 1,300 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

Ray Henson shoved all in for 21,400 in the small blind and John Hennigan called off in the big. Henson had {a-Spades}{4-Clubs} and Hennigan {k-Spades}{j-Spades}. The {10-Spades}{q-Spades}{6-Spades} flop had Hennigan calling for the {9-Spades} and that's exactly what arrived on the turn.

"What a sick beat," Henson said with a laugh.
