With the board reading {5-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{9-Hearts} by the turn, Gustavo Kamei checked to Xiao Peng, and she used the power of position by betting 100,000 from the button.

Kamei took his time before calling the bet — leaving himself about 245,000 in doing so — and the river card was the {9-Diamonds}.

Another tap of the table by Kamei prompted Peng to declare herself all in for 410,000 (245,000 effective), a move which forced a long tank by the Brazilian. Eventually, after about five minutes had elapsed, Brandon Cantu called for time to move the action along, and when 60 more seconds had come and gone, Kamei had still not made his decision.

His hand was declared dead and the pot was pushed to Peng.

One For Gross

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante

Jared Jaffee raised to 25,000 on the button, Jeff Gross called from the small blind, and Mark Herm called from the big blind.

The flop fell {A-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and all three players checked to see the {J-Diamonds} turn where Gross led out for 27,000. Herm folded and after a few moments so did Jaffee, giving Gross the pot.

Welcome to PokerNews' Day 3 coverage of Event #58: $1,500 Mixed-Max No-Limit Hold'em.

The starting field of 1,475 entrants is down to just 10 players, each looking to capture a coveted World Series of Poker gold bracelet, as well as the first-place prize of $405,428.

On top of the chip counts entering Day 3 is Jared Jaffee with 1.583 million, the only player with a seven-figure stack. This marks the Brooklyn native's 12th career WSOP cash and all that stands between him and his first bracelet are nine opponents. Second in chips is Mark "dipthrong" Herm with 927,000 and he is followed by two-time bracelet winner Brandon Cantu with 918,000. For Cantu, this marks his seventh cash of the 2014 WSOP and despite his critics, Cantu has a chance to join an exclusive group by capturing a third bracelet.
