Joe Hachem Eliminated in 12th Place; [Removed:326] in 11th ($18,018 Each)

Joseph Hachem (12th Place- $18,018)
Joseph Hachem (12th Place- $18,018)

PLO

A massive pot just developed that saw Joe Hachem raise to 35,000 under the gun, [Removed:326] reraise pot, and Jan Collado four-bet pot from the small blind. Both Hachem and [Removed:327] called off their stacks and it was what one might expect:

Hachem: {A-Clubs}{A-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
[Removed:327]: {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}{6-Spades}{10-Spades}
Collado: {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

With the aces and kings taken, this seemed to be one of those hands that'd be determined by the other cards in their respective hands. Sure enough, the flop fell {7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}, giving Collado trips and the nut flush draw, putting Hachem and [Removed:327] in a bad spot.

The {4-Hearts} turn didn't change a thing. The rail leaned in close as Hachem and [Removed:327] both awaited their fate on the river. Burn . . . {2-Diamonds}.

The river improved Collado to a flush, which was good enough to take down the pot and send his two opponents to the rail. Hachem began the hand with the short stack, so he'll be awarded 12th place; consequently, [Removed:327] finished in 11th place.

Patterson Extends Chip Lead with Big Pot Off [Removed:327]

PLO

On a flop of {K-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}, Joe Hachem checked from the big blind and [Removed:326] bet 50,000. Tyler Patterson made the call, Hachem folded, and it was heads up to the {J-Diamonds} turn. [Removed:327] continued to bet, this time 150,000, and again Patterson just called.

[Removed:327] must not have liked the {9-Hearts} river as he checked to Patterson, who moved all in. [Removed:327] just shook his head as he flung his cards to the muck. [Removed:327] dropped to under 300K while Patterson is up to 970,000.

All Quiet on the Western Front

Level 21

It's all got very cagey on the remaining two tables with few flops. The highlight of the last few minutes was Carter Gill getting out his iPad and playing "Hotel California" by the Eagles.

You can refer to "The Dude" from The Big Lebowski for this reporter's opinions on the Eagles.

[Removed:327] Dodges the World to Double Big

PLO

David Lestock raised to 20,000 under the gun and was met with a three-bet to 75,000 from [Removed:326] on the button. Both blinds got out of the way and Lestock made the call. "Pot," Lestock announced after watching the flop fall {2-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{7-Spades}. [Removed:327] beat him into the pot with his entire stack, just 17,000 more, and Lestock made the call.

[Removed:327]: {A-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}
Lestock: {7-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{9-Hearts}{9-Spades}

[Removed:327] held aces, which would have been good had the hand ended right there, but Lestock had numerous outs including straight and flush draws. [Removed:327] seemed to know dodging so many outs was unlikely, but that is what he did as the {Q-Hearts} hit the turn, followed by the {J-Hearts} river.

"Wow, how do you dodge all that?" Joe Hachem asked after the hand.

Blind vs. Blind

PLH

Action folded to Mitch Schock in the small blind and he raised it up to 30,000. Carter Gill made the call from the big blind and the duo watched the flop come down {8-Spades}{J-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. Schock was first to act and checked, opening the door for Gill to bet 55,000.

"Really?" Schock asked as he looked at Gill.

"I'll show you," responded Gill. Schock took the deal, folded his hand, and watched as Gill flashed the {9-Spades}.

Collado Doubles Through Mackoff

PLO

Jonas Mackoff raised to 22,000 and got called by Shaun [Removed:327] and Jan Collado, they saw a flop of {J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} where it was checked to Mackoff who bet 49,000. [Removed:327] folded but Collado raised pot, Mackoff set him in and Collado called.

Collado: {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
Mackoff: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

The turn was the {Q-Diamonds} giving Collado the nut flush but Mackoff picked up some outs, none hit on the {5-Hearts} river and Collado won a large pot as Mackoff was crippled.

Who Will Join This List?

Level 21

This event is relatively young when it comes to the WSOP, dating back only to 2008; however, the list of players who've won in the past is quite impressive. In fact, Rami Boukai is looking to win this very event for the second time in three years.

In addition, this event has grown in popularity year in and year out. Compared to last year's field, the 2001 event saw 124 more runners. Not too shabby!
