Carsten Joh Eliminated in 17th Place ($11,387)

Carsten Joh (17th Place- $11,387)
Carsten Joh (17th Place- $11,387)

PLO

Jan Collado raised to 15,000 from middle position and Carsten Joh reraised to 42,000 out of the small blind. Collado thought about it before opting to make the call, each player having around 60,000 remaining.

The flop came {5-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Joh moved all in and Collado snap-called.

Joh: {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-}
Collado: {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades}

Collado had flopped the nuts and Joh needed the board to pair but the {9-Hearts} turn and {10-Hearts} river sent him spinning out of the event.

Nathan Wade Eliminated in 18th Place ($11,387)

Nathan Wade (18th Place- $11,387)
Nathan Wade (18th Place- $11,387)

PLH

Nathan Wade having doubled up his stack, was all in again after repotting from the small blind with {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds} against Cameron New's UTG raise. New quickly got his chips in the middle with {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} and the board came {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{8-Clubs} - an aceless board to leave us with 17 players.

Eugene Du Plessis Eliminated in 19th Place ($9,223)

Eugene Du Plessis (19th Place- $9,223)
Eugene Du Plessis (19th Place- $9,223)

PLO

Action folded to James Vanneman on the button and he wasted little time in raising to 18,000. Eugene Du Plessis was in the small blind and looked as if he were pondering a move. After about 45 seconds, Du Plessis did just that by three-betting to 60,000, leaving himself just 45,000 behind. The big blind got out of the way and Vanneman settled on making the call.

As soon as the {3-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} appeared on the flop, Du Plessis moved all in, Vanneman snapped, and the cards were turned on their backs.

Du Plessis: {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Vanneman: {J-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{8-Spades}

Du Plessis had flopped top pair with an open-ended straight draw, but he was behind the jacks and bigger open-ended draw of Vanneman. The {5-Clubs} turn changed absolutely nothing, and neither did the {2-Diamonds} river. Vanneman's jacks held to send Du Plessis to the rail in 19th place.

Wade Hits the River to Survive

PLO

On a flop of {8-Spades}{2-Spades}{Q-Hearts}, a short-stacked Nathan Wade led out by moving all in for his last 41,000. Cameron New made the call from the big blind and Wade was in trouble.

New: {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Spades}
Wade: {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{9-Spades}

Wade had flopped top pair with top kicker, but it was still behind the pocket kings and flush draw of New. The {2-Hearts} turn brought Wade one step closer to elimination, but the {10-Diamonds} river gave him a straight and the win. New was clearly frustrated by the river as he went to his supporters on the rail for consolation.

PLH

And that makes it three in fifteen minutes, at this rate we'll be finished before the $2,500 event going on at the main stage.

Kyle Zartman was all in preflop with {9-}{9-} against Scott Clements {A-Spades}{J-Spades} but it was the latter who came off best on the {8-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} board to increase his stack to the 450,000 mark.
