Play Slows Near Money

Play has slowed down a lot since dinner break. We don't think it's food coma, but more because of the fact that we're growing closer to the money. Pretty soon, play will become even slower.

Many of the big stacks are raising at will and attacking the smaller stacks, who are just folding away their blinds and antes as they wait for a hand to move with. Although this may be one of the more uneventful portions of the tournament, it is one of the most crucial.

Dinner Time

The remaining 733 players are on a 90-minute dinner break. Sixty-seven of them will come back and bubble out before we hit the money.

The Men Nguyen Show

Men "The Master" Nguyen was quiet for most of the day, but he has been lighting up the table now that he has some newfound chips. Apparently, drinking a beer and tripling up are good for one's mood. It also helps that his friend Chau Giang was just moved to his table, but even before that, Men has been morphing into quite the comedian.

The comedy routine has spanned from poker to sports to beer and bottled water, but at the moment, the talk of the table revolves around glasses. A player in Seat 1 is wearing sunglasses when he's involved in pots, and Men just commented that he looks like James Bond. "Oh-oh-seven," he said with a big laugh. That prompted Chau to take off his own glasses and give them a thorough inspection. He mumbled something about a recent pot he had played, and Men let out another big laugh. The rest of the table seems to be enjoying the company of those two men, as well.
