Esposito talked Into Showing

Just before the break, Cory Zeidman and Lou Esposito were involved in a pot that went to the river. The board was {6-Spades} {5-Spades} {4-Spades} {J-Clubs} {7-Spades}.

On the turn, Zeidman bet 2,100 and Esposito called. On the river, Zeidman checked and Esposito bet 4,000.

"I had you before that card man," said Zeidman and then proceeded to ask Esposito to show his hand.

"I don't like to show," responded Esposito.

"I'll show you one later if you show me now," promised Zeidman.

After Zeidman and the table talked to Esposito a little more to try and convince him to show, Zeidman showed the {J-Spades} {10-Clubs} for further persuasion.

Esposito laughed and then showed {A-Spades} {8-Spades} for a straight flush.

Oops.

It turns out that Humberto Brenes is NOT at the feature table, so if you plan on tuning into the episode where he battles Chris Moneymaker, you're going to be disappointed.

Internet Runner Runner

Steve Morra has just eliminated a player. All the chips went in on a {A-Hearts} {7-Clubs} {6-Clubs} and Morra was holding {A-Clubs} {K-Spades} to his opponent, who had flopped a set with {7-Diamonds} {7-Spades}.

The turn {10-Clubs} changed the outlook somewhat and the river {J-Clubs} changed it a whole lot. Runner-runner flush for Morra to take the pot and bust his opponent.

Ted "The Milkman" Melikian was observing the hand and piped up "Internet hand! If I was on the internet, the computer would be out the window."

Gabel Turns Trash Into Treasure

Preflop, a late position player raised to 1,300 and Vincent Gabel called. Matt Matros then reraised to 5,500 from the small bllind. Only Gabel called the reraise.

On a flop of {10-Clubs} {5-Spades} {6-Hearts}, Matros bet 7,000 and Gabel called. On the turn of the {9-Spades}, Matros checked and Gabel moved all in for 4,000. Matros reluctantly called.

Gabe showed {8-Clubs} {7-Clubs} for the nut straight, while Matros showed {9-Clubs} {3-Diamonds} for only a pair of nines. The river of the {3-Clubs} was irrelevant and Gabel moved up to 34,000 after the hand.

Richardson Gives Lederer Some Information

Howard Lederer
Howard Lederer
Howard Lederer raised to 1,400 and Chad Richardson reraised to 4,000. Lederer called. The flop came down {K-Clubs} {9-Clubs} {8-Hearts}.

Lederer checked to Richardson and he bet 5,500. Lederer called.

The turn was the {6-Hearts} and Lederer checked again. Richardson upped his bet to 9,000 this time and Lederer folded.

"Only because it's Howard Lederer," said Richardson as he showed {A-Diamonds} {K-Diamonds}, although it might not be a good idea to show a pro your hole cards.
