McEvoy Spikes River Set

The small blind limped and Tom McEvoy bumped it up another 2,400 from the big blind. The small blind made the call.

The flop came {8-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and it was checked to McEvoy who fired 3,000. The small blind then reraised all in for an additional 4,300 and McEvoy called.

McEvoy: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}
SB: {K-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

The turn was the {A-Clubs} but a miraculous {Q-Hearts} on the river gave McEvoy the pot and sent him opponent grumbling towards the exit. McEvoy is now up to 51,000 in chips.

Steve Fager is our current chip leader with over 70,000 in chips. He hasn't had it easy either, being seated at the same table as Men "The Master" Nguyen. Fager is enjoying his time at the table and even scored an autograph from "The Master" on his cap.

Raymer Does the Rounds

2004 World Champion Greg Raymer recently busted out of the $2,500 2-7 Triple Draw event and has made his way to our tournament area where he is currently doing the rounds of the tables to catch up with some old friends.

Someone quizzed Raymer as to when he'd be eligible to play in this event to which Raymer replied, "You are safe for another six years and two days!"
