Gratsch Rockets Up Leaderboard

Paul Gratsch is now up to 60,000 after getting his chips in the middle on a flop of {9-Hearts}{3-Spades}{3-Hearts}. Gratsch held {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds} but would need to dodge some outs as his opponent flipped over {J-Hearts}{8-Hearts}.

The turn was the {Q-Clubs} to give his opponent an additional straight draw but the river was the {8-Diamonds} and Gratsch takes down the monster pot.

Franklin Takes One From Cardoza

In a clash of the big stacks 'Captain' Tom Franklin has got the better of Avery Cardoza. Preflop, Franklin raised to 4,000 and Cardoza made the call.

They took a flop of {6-Spades}{3-Hearts}{8-Spades} and both players checked. The {K-Clubs} fell on the turn and Cardoza led for 4,000. Franklin made the call.

The river was the {9-Clubs} and Cardoza fired again, this time for 8,500. Franklin then announced a raise, making it 22,500 to go. Cardoza laid it down and Franklin rakes in the pot. Cardoza is down to 56,000 while Franklin jumps to 98,000.

Dishongh Gets Creative But Gets The Chips!

Randy Dishongh led out with a bet of 2,000 on a flop of {A-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts} before his opponent made it 6,000 to go. Dishongh thought for a few moments before pushing his big stack all in, and his opponent made the call.

Randy Dishongh held {5-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} and would need some help against the {A-Hearts}{10-Clubs} of his opponent. The turn of the {5-Hearts} made things interesting as Dishongh took the lead with two pair but his opponent picked up a flush draw. However the river bricked the {Q-Clubs} and Dishongh sends his opponent to the rail and jumps to 73,000.

Halford Flushes Opponent

Paula Halford has just taken down a nice pot on a nearby table. She got all the chips in the middle with {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs} against her opponent's {A-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and it was a probable split pot but the board landed {Q-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{2-Clubs} to make Halford the nut flush and she jumps to 57,000 chips.

No!!!!! Yes!

Men "the Master" Nguyen could be heard yelling from a couple of tables away. Nguyen had called an all-in bet from an opponent holding {K-?} {K-?} against his opponent's {Q-?} {Q-?} . When we arrived, his opponent had flopped a set of queens with a {Q-?} {J-?} {3-?} flop. Nguyen's agony turned to elation as the turn and river came {10-?} {9-?} to give Nguyen the straight.

Nguyen is now up to 76,000.

"Captain" Takes Chip Lead

"Captain" Tom Franklin has roared to the tournament chip lead at the break after taking down a huge pot in a battle of the blinds. The board read {10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} with Franklin showing {Q-Spades}{3-Hearts} to crush the {Q-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} of his opponent.

"Aww shucks!" exclaimed his opponent as he headed to the exit with Franklin now sitting with 78,000 chips.
