Tim Porter Doubles

Tim Porter found the last of his chips in the middle preflop holding {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} but was in trouble against the dominant {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts} of his opponent.

The board ran out {8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{9-Hearts} and Porter spiked a queen to double up to about 14,000 just before the dinner break.

Gann Spikes One-Outer to Crack Aces

John Bonar opened with a raise to 1,900 before a player in middle position reraised all in for 14,000. Michael Gann called before Bonar went into the tank and folded pocket jacks face-up.

The middle-position player flipped {A-Hearts}{A-Spades} as Gann was going to need help with his {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}.

Before the flop was dealt, another player said that he folded K-Q, leaving Gann with only one out in the deck.

The board ran out {Q-Spades}{3-Spades}{6-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{K-Hearts} and Gann spikes a one-outer on the river to jump to 32,000 in chips!

Tom McEvoy Takes a Hit

McEvoy's opponent showed {A-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} for the flush.

After the hand, McEvoy moved down to 11,000 in chips.

Slim Caught Stealing

Amarillo Slim moved all in from the cutoff for about 10,000 and the player on the button made the call.

Slim got caught with his hand in the cookie jar as he showed {2-Clubs}{8-Hearts} against his opponent's {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}.

The board landed {4-Clubs}{A-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Slim doubles up another opponent, but is still in good shape with about 7,500 chips.

The board bricked out {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} and Slim doubles up his opponent and slips to under 10,000 in chips.
