Steven Stephan moved all in for his last 185,000 chips from early position and Miltiadis Kyriakides called from the button, the players in the blinds folded.

Stephan: {A-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}
Kyriakides: {K-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

The flop came {K-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and Kyriakides immediately improved to a pair of kings. The {2-Clubs} on the turn was a blank and so was the {J-Hearts} river to end Stephan's tournament in 22nd place.

Jens Steuber shoved his short stack from the button and Ismail Kalkan called from the big blind for his last few big blinds with the {K-Clubs}{8-Spades}. Steuber had the {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades} and it was all over after the turn of a {J-Spades}{A-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{A-Diamonds} board. Kalkan headed to the rail in 23rd place for a payday of €7,296.

Schmitz Scores Huge Double

Level 26 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

After a flop of {10-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}, the fireworks started with Tonino Schmitz and Süleyman Erdar at it. Schmitz was tempted to just call but raised and Erdar then jammed to put his opponent at risk with the {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. Schmitz shot out of his chair, tabled the higher set in {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts} and then said to the dealer "please come on, don#t screw it up."

Neither the {7-Clubs} turn nor the {8-Clubs} river changed anything and Erdar was left with his head shaking while Schmitz celebrated with his rail.

Ali Sameeian Doubles With Pocket Queens

Level 26 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Ali Sameeian

Vasili Firsau opened the action to 65,000 from late position and Ali Sameeian 3-bet all-in for 231,000. Firsau went into the tank, and it seemed he almost folded right before he called. Firsau, who held suited connectors {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, didn't seem too happy with himself when he saw his opponent turn over {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}.

The {4-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} flop wasn't much help to Firsau, needing either a ten to fill up his straight or double runners for two-pair, trips, or a flush. The {9-Diamonds} appeared on the turn, giving Firsau a few more outs on the river. When the {6-Hearts} appeared on the river, Sameeian breathed a sigh of relief as he doubled up and Firsau was left as one of the shorter stacks remaining in the tournament.

Erler Doubles; Break

Level 25 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

The players have been sent into a 15-minute break. In the last hand of the level, Johnny Hansen raised to 52,000 and then called the shove of Thomas Erlier for 118,000 with the {K-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. Erler was ahead with {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds} and doubled up despite a scary board of {3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{8-Spades}.

"Wow, I win a showdown against him," the German laughed.

Erler in Trouble

Level 25 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

"How much do you have left?" Dragoslav Timarac asked his opponent Thomas Erler in the big blind in German after both had see a flop of {7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades}. It was only a mere few big blinds and Timarac then pushed to enforce a fold from his opponent. Erler and Steven Stephan on the feature table are the two by far shortest stacks right now.

Krasniqi Doubles Through Gal

Level 25 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

The full betting action is amiss but the pot had grown to what looked like 450,000 on the feature table. Zoltan Gal had checked in the big blind and Nick Krasniqi then moved all in for for 23 big blinds with the board reading {K-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}. Gal gave it some thought and then called with {K-Clubs}{6-Clubs} only to get shown {A-Spades}{Q-Spades} by his opponent.

Gal smiled, said "nice hand, bad river" and moved onto the next hand without any hard feelings.
