Hansen Takes Down a Pot on the Turn

Level 25 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Johnny Hansen
Johnny Hansen

Dragoslav Timarac opened the action to 51,000 from the button, with both Johnny Hansen and Marius-Alexandru Gicovanu calling from the blinds.

All players checked on a {10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop, however, the action picked up when the {10-Clubs} hit the turn. Hansen led out for a bet of 76,000. Gicovanu folded and Timarac raised the action to 176,000. Hansen thought for a minute, and then declared he was all-in, well covering the remaining 550,000 chips Timarac had remaining. Timarac tanked for a couple of minutes before folding his hand.

Gal Gets a Fold from Firsau

Level 25 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Miltiadis Kyriakides raised from under the gun on the feature table and Zoltan Gal as well as Vasili Firsau called in the blinds. The flop came {2-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} and Firsau check-raised after Kyriakides had continued for 65,000 and was called by Gal. The Belorussian made it 181,000 to go and Kyriakides folded, Gal called.

The two of them checked the {A-Hearts} turn and Gal then bet the {J-Clubs} river for 200,000. Firsau folded and claimed to have had deuces, which Gal found hard to believe. "But you had queen-jack," Firsau said to his table neighbor and current chip leader.

Maik Herrmann Eliminated in 24th - €7,296

Level 25 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Maik Herrmann
Maik Herrmann

On a flop of {3-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades}, Johnny Hansen went all in in heads-up play against Maik Herrmann. Herrmann put his tournament life at stake after calling for his last 350,000 chips, and it looked like he was going to double up when he revealed {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades} to his opponents {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}.

The turn was a safe {5-Hearts}, however, Herrmann was visibly upset when the {9-Spades} hit the river to be eliminated in the tournament in 24th place for €7,296.

Timaric Doubles From the Small Blind

Level 25 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Dragoslav Timarac
Dragoslav Timarac

On Day 3, Timaric has been involved in two all-ins from the blinds, and has come out ahead both times. In the last hand before the table broke, Timaric was all-in for 390,000 from the small blind and was called Süleyman Erdar from the big blind.

Timaric: {A-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}
Erdar: {Q-Clubs}{J-Spades}

Erdar, who has won a few flips today, was unable to do so when slightly behind this time when the board ran out {8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades}{10-Clubs}. Right after this hand, the table broke with a bustout on another table, and we are down to 24 players playing eight-handed across three tables.

Oleksandr Zhyrnov Eliminated in 25th Place

Level 25 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Oleksandr Zhyrnov
Oleksandr Zhyrnov

It was an elimination in three steps for Oleksandr Zhyrnov, who first pushed from the button with the {A-Spades}{4-Clubs}. Jens Steuber called all in for 240,000 with the {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} in the big blind and the board ran out {2-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{4-Spades}.

One hand later, Ismail Kalkan shoved from under the gun with the {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and Zhyrnov called all in for less than one big blind from the cutoff with the {K-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}. The river card on the board {Q-Clubs}{3-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} provided help for the Ukrainian and he sat down for one more hand.

Zhyrnov then shoved for 80,000 with the {9-Clubs}{6-Hearts} and Kalkan called in the big blind with {Q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. This time the flop came {4-Hearts}{Q-Spades}{2-Diamonds} and Kalkan found top pair. Neither the {5-Diamonds} turn nor {J-Hearts} river changed anything and the field was reduced to the last three tables.

Stephen Doubles Through Krasniqi

Level 25 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Nick Krasniqi had just won a small pot against Ali Sameeian and then faced the all in of Steven Stephan for 216,000 from under the gun. Stephan had been down to two and a half big blinds earlier and now showed the {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. Krasniqi had one over card with {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} and failed to improve on a board of {8-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs}{A-Spades}{3-Clubs}.
