Flush Over Flush on the River

Level 30 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Mark Rose doubles
Mark Rose doubles

Clint Tolbert was first to act, and he put in a raise to 100,000. Mark Rose defended in the big blind, and the dealer spread {5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{8-Spades}. Rose checked, Tolbert continued for 150,000, and Tolbert called.

The turn was the suicide king ({k-Hearts}), and both players knuckled.

The {9-Hearts} completed the board, and Rose checked a third time. Tolbert assembled a few blue T100,000 chips, added three yellow T25,000 chips, and plopped forward 375,000. Rose announced, "all in," making it 1.105 million, and Tolbert instantly called.

Rose flipped over {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for the nuts.

"God!" Tolbert blurted, flashing {7-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for a lesser flush.

Rose doubled to 2.71 million chips, while Tolbert dropped down to around 3.8 million.

Four-Bet From Tamayo

Level 30 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Clint Tobert was under the gun and opened to 125,000. William Looper peered at his cards and then announced a three-bet to 280,000. Jonathan Tamayo was next to act and cut out a four-bet to 685,000. Mark Rose and Tolbert quickly released, but it took Looper about forty-five seconds to let go of his hand.

Tamayo dragged the pot and now has about 3.6 million in chips.

Diamonds are Forever

Level 30 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Clint Tolbert
Clint Tolbert

Jonathan Tamayo raised to 130,000 in first position, and Clint Tolbert three-bet to 275,000 from the small blind. Tamayo tanked for a bit, four-bet to 530,000, and Tolbert responded with a five-bet shove for 2.2 million. Tamayo looked at his cards one more time, then called.

Tamayo: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Tolbert: {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}

Tolbert was crushed, but the {9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop gave him a plethora of outs to double up. The {2-Diamonds} turned, giving Tolbert a flush and ending the hand. A meaningless {2-Clubs} bricked off on the river, and Tolbert doubled to around 4.45 million chips.

Tamayo has roughly 3.35 million.

Tolbert Takes From Rose

Level 30 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Mark Rose made it 120,000 from under the gun and Clint Tolbert called from the button. The blinds folded and the flop brought {J-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}.

Rose checked to Tolbert who fired 100,000. Rose flatted to see the {4-Clubs} turn. The action went check-check and the {Q-Clubs} finished off the board. Rose checked to Tolbert who moved 300,000 into the center. Rose released his hand and Tolbert took it down.

All In for Rose

Level 30 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Mark Rose open-shoved 945,000 from the small blind, and Clint Tolbert quickly called in the big blind.

Rose: {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Tolbert: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

The {10-Spades} peaked through the window of the {6-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{10-Spades} flop, and at the sight of it, Rose threw his hands in the air helplessly. The turn ({4-Diamonds}) and the river ({4-Clubs}) were both fours, and Rose secured the double up.

Tolbert is down to around 1.485 million chips.

Chris Hyden Eliminated in 5th Place ($52,411)

Level 30 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Chris Hyden
Chris Hyden

Chris Hyden raised to 100,000 in the cutoff seat, Jonathan Tamayo three-bet to 265,000 on the button, and the action folded back to Hyden, who moved all in for 1.75 million. Tamayo checked his cards one last time to make sure he had what he thought he had, then called.

Hyden: {a-Spades}{9-Spades}
Tamayo: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

The {8-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{j-Clubs} flop didn't change much, but the {a-Clubs} spiked on the turn, giving Hyden a leading pair of aces. Tamayo could still make the best hand with a club or a king.

The dealer rapped the table, then spiked the {k-Spades} on the river, giving Tamayo a set of kings.

After the hand, Clint Tolbert announced that he folded {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

Hyden was eliminated in fifth place, earning him $52,411, while Tamayo is now the chip leader with 5.45 million chips.

Fried Green Tamayos

Level 30 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

On a flop of {A-Clubs}{6-Spades}{9-Hearts}, Mark Rose checked to Jonathan Tamayo who bet out 130,000. Rose stuck around to see fourth street.

The dealer produced a {3-Diamonds} and Rose tapped the table for a second time. Tamayo cut out 275,000 and Rose called once again.

The river paired the board with the {3-Hearts}. Rose checked for a third time and Tamayo bet 525,000. Rose went into the tank for about a minute before dropping in a call. Tamayo rolled over {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for aces and treys, causing Rose to muck his hand.

By scooping this pot, Tamayo is up to about 3.4 million in chips.

Hyden Seek

Level 30 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Clint Tolbert raised to 100,000 out of the cutoff, Chris Hyden three-bet jammed for 915,000 from the small blind, and Tolbert tank-called.

Tolbert: {a-Clubs}{5-Spades}
Hyden: {a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}

"Chop it up?" Tolbert asked Hyden, smiling.

The dealer rapped the table then fanned {6-Clubs}{6-Spades}{10-Spades}.

"Good flop," Tolbert said.

The turn was the {7-Diamonds}, making a chop even more likely.

"DEUCE!" someone on Hyden's rail shouted.

The dealer obliged, spiking the {2-Diamonds} on the river, and Hyden secured the double up.
