Early Double for Chew

Todd Chew got all in preflop holding {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} and was in bad shape against the {A-}{K-} of Dustin Gardner. Much to the former's delight, and the latter's dismay, the {Q-Clubs}{2-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop gave the underdog the lead. Neither the {10-Spades} turn nor {10-Clubs} river changed a thing, and Chew doubled within the first 15 minutes of the day.

A New Champion Will Be Crowned Today

Kurt Jewell will be looking for redemption today.
Kurt Jewell will be looking for redemption today.

The third and final day of the World Series of Poker Circuit Harrah's Tunica Main Event is upon us and 16 players return to fiight for the gold ring, a seat in the National Championship and $192,984. Dan Blakeman returns as the chipleader with only a 50,000 chip lead over Houston White.

Kurt Jewell is looking for redemption after finishing 8th in this event last year. Jewell brought a commanding chiplead into the final table last year, but luck wasn't on his side. His hands were cracked or outflopped in an almost cruel opening levels of the final table.

Jacob Bazeley will also be looking for his first title, he took 2nd place in the WSOPC Southern Indiana Main Event earlier this season. Bazeley was snakebitten when he got to heads up play with Robert Castoire. Bazeley had a four-to-one chiplead over Castoire and got it in good four times only to have Castoire hit the flops better than he.

Action will kick off promptly at noon and we're going to play until we crown a winner. Follow all the WSOPC action live on Pokernews.com
