Tadini Doubles Through Zarco

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Anas Tadini raised and called the shove of Javier Zarco in the big blind for his last 120,000.

Anas Tadini: {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}
Javier Zarco: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}

The board came {10-Hearts}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}{7-Spades} and Tadini doubled. Zarco bounced back a few hands later by doubling up with kings and both now have around 30 big blinds.

Pirault Busts to Parham

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Francois Pirault
Francois Pirault

Ahoor Parham raised to 25,000 and Paul moved all in, which Parham eventually called for 236,000.

Ahoor Parham: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Paul: {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

The {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs}{9-Clubs} flop gave Parham trips aces and he even improved to quads on the {A-Spades} turn, which made the {K-Clubs} on the river a formality.

After having chipped up previously, Parham faced the limp of Francois Pirault and moved all in from the button. Pirault snap-called for his last 23 big blinds and turned over the superior kicker.

Francois Pirault: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}
Ahoor Parham: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}

The board came {Q-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{3-Spades}{4-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and that spelled the end for Pirault in 15th place for 40,000 MAD. "You take it from me and give it to him?" Isabel Baltazar asked when she walked by the table and Pirault just sighed before heading to the payout desk.

Zarco Down; Triples After

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Javier Zarco raised to 22,000 and Rati Vale Il Dieko, then Louis Linard came along from the big blind. On the {K-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop only Linard check-called a continuation bet before doing so again for 81,000 on the {5-Diamonds} turn. The {A-Hearts} river was checked and Linard showed {A-Diamonds}{j-Spades} for two pair while Rati Vale Il Dieko sighed and mucked.

Soon after, Aleksandras Voisnis three-bet shoved from the big blind for 163,000 with the {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}. Zarco as initial raiser reluctantly called with {K-Spades}{Q-Spades} and failed to get there on the board of {10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{5-Diamonds}. Down to 73,000, Zarco moved all in the net hand and Rachid Am called in the hijack. Voisnis moved all in over the top for more than 330,000 in the small blind and Am called.

Javier Zarco: {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts}
Rachid Am: {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}
Aleksandras Voisnis: {2-Spades}{2-Clubs}

The entire table gasped upon the showdown and the board ran out {Q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{7-Spades}{9-Hearts}{J-Hearts} to let Zarco triple up in spectacular fashion.

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Five minutes into the new level, the players were sent into a 15-minute break and when they return, they will play the remainder of the level before heading into the dinner break. The free buffet will be available as of 8 p.m. local time, hence the adjusted schedule.

Lewis First Casualty in the Money

Level 18 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Romain Lewis
Romain Lewis

Anas Tadini raised and called the shove of Ludovic Moryousef from the button with {A-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. Moryousef was ahead with the {A-Clubs}{9-Spades} and flopped well on {9-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Clubs}. The double was confirmed on the {A-Hearts} turn and the {4-Clubs} river was a mere formality.

Romain Lewis was less fortunate. Down to seven big blinds he got the remainder of his short stack in with pocket nines and Paul called with {K-}{10-}. The Spaniard got there and Lewis became the first casualty in the money, earning 35,000 MAD for his efforts.
